May 30, 20241 yr Quite important to get that W yesterday and stop the bleeding. Now a nice homestand which will hopefully generate a couple more games above .500
May 30, 20241 yr Really should be cheering for Minnesota and Seattle to go on a tear so that Houston can fall further behind in their division and the WC. That way tucker is more likely to be dealt.

May 31, 20241 yr Looks like I’m going to have to wait a bit longer to see the Phillies’ team ERA drop below 3.00. I had calculated that 13 scoreless innings would have done it.
June 1, 20241 yr Nice poke by Rojas. He needs to do that every at-bat. Just hit it where it's pitched.

I know it’s likely they’ll try to sign a deal but that always makes me uncomfortable knowing that he could just be a rental

Frankly they gave up prospects for realmuto and everyone got worried he was gonna leave and he wound up coming back. Hard time believing the Phillies are rumored to go all in for Juan Soto but wouldn’t be all in for Tucker who’s a better fielder and silver slugger type hitter. Also imo it’s a year and a half of him and two shots in the postseason (likely). If you win a World Series and he’s a major factor cause of it then it’s already worth it

The Astros have to be out of it for him to even be traded this season. Somebody is going to jump on him whether it’s the Yanks or the Dodgers and I would hate to see that happen. If I’m DD you go out and get some stars to win the whole damn thing. If they’re starving for a championship as I am you go and get it done. This team needs to win now so Dave needs to be aggressive and let’s bring that trophy home

This team needs to win now so Dave needs to be aggressive and let’s bring that trophy home Frankly, I don’t think the Yankees would be in on it. They already said at the end of this year they’re gonna lower payroll. So I don’t see them adding Tucker. they’re gonna have to pay either one Soto or Tucker a ton of money. The Dodgers I would say would be the team I’d be most weary of but then again I think they just spent a crap load of money this off-season. frankly, I don’t think their offense is the thing that’s the biggest problem for them. I think they’re gonna need to get a starting pitcher glaskow is really good but also he usually always gets hurt. Yamamoto has been very good since early season struggles. Paxton is having a resurgence but also is on track o pitch the most innings he has in 5 years i worry he holds up. Kershaw hasn’t pitched yet but i don’t know what he has left, Walker Buehler i believe is on an inning count coming back from his injury. And May is still coming back off his major arm injury. I look at it from this view, you don’t know if this is gonna be your best chance to win a World Series. They might be competitive the next couple years, but not in the best position to win a World Series. This team is the best team they’ve had during this stretch. you have to give them a chance by going all in to win it. Trust me I hate losing potentially Crawford or Miller or Abel. But if that puts you so much over the top and you win a World Series, it would be worth it.
June 1, 20241 yr This could be something to keep an eye on.... He was a piece of the Sean Murphy trade
June 1, 20241 yr The Phillies can go 51-53 in their remaining 104 games and still wind up with 91 wins. They won 90 last year
