June 18, 20241 yr Greg Murphy's son, Matt Murphy, did not advance to semi-finals in the 200 Breast at US Olympic Trials this afternoon. Murphy added time this afternoon, placing 75th in the event. Swimmers basically had to go under 2:12 in order to advance to semi-finals. Looking at his splits, it looked like he went for broke in the first 100, knowing he had to leapfrog 17 people in order to make it into semi-finals. He had nothing in the tank for the last 75 or 50. Since pache has gotten here he’s been solid against LHP. Like far better than marsh since being here
