I get the strategy but, I think you have to pull Ruiz sooner or like you said just put in 1 of those 2 and not even mess with it. Hoffman got the job done!

It’s 5 runs so you have some room for error. But really i don’t love using marte and Ruiz in a game. Feels like you are getting too cute and one of them is likely to have an issue. But really strahm in 4 days has pitched to 2 hitters. He could’ve been used.

Id have to agree though you shouldn't be able to just pull pitchers after a batter or a handful of pitches.

July 3, 20241 yr If they can win 5 or 6 out of the next 11 before the all-star break, they’ll be fine in the division with the injured guys coming back after the break. They should be able to maintain a 6.5-7.5 game lead in the division heading into the break.
