His issue coming up in the minors was he’d lose his control at times. It’s why most didn’t think he’d make it as a more than a 4th and 5th starter at best. His command for much of the year and in 2023 has been terrific. What’s made him as effective as he’s been
July 4, 20241 yr Could see that coming. Sanchez command has been all over the place this inning and he had to throw strikes cause he was down 3-1

At that point, you should’ve went out and talk to him to calm him down. Instead, you let him continue pitching and he falls behind 3-1 in the count and it goes yard. And then two batters later he walks a guy and then finally you go out and talk to him. He needed this about 3 batters ago. What the F are you waiting for to go talk to him? frankly he has poor control today and guys are belting pitches in the zone. He’s gotten ours cause cubs batters have swung at some bad pitches like Nido just did.

July 4, 20241 yr Gone under the radar but Sanchez at CBP this year is 1.35 ERA. Going into this game he was 4.32 on the road.

July 4, 20241 yr That’ll do it. Dominguez has also been lousy in his last 5 appearances after being great for a month. 4.2 IP and given up 5 runs (2 ERs), 6 hits and 2 walks frankly just let Ruiz pitch the last 3 innings so you don’t waste your bullpen.

July 4, 20241 yr Would be pretty happy if we got either bellinger or happ at the deadline. Kind of think need the cubs to continue free falling into the deadline
July 4, 20241 yr Phillies pitchers be like I ain’t pitching an inning without giving up at least a run today

July 4, 20241 yr 1 minute ago, Joe Shades 73 said: At least it wasn't 6.....only positivity I can come up with The irritating thing about it is, they were making Taillon work. He had 59 pitches thru 4 innings. So you were likely going to knock him out earlier if you kept it up. Then the next two innings they saw 14 pitches.
