He rarely gets into a slump where he’s an easy out on like 1-3 pitches. I also think first year after Acl he’ll likely get better as the season goes on and he trusts his knee more and his knee is further away from the injury Yes I agree and my view on that at bat was simply him coming up clutch and it being against arguably their best pitcher in Glasnow. Seeing him come up with the bases loaded knowing that the Phillies likely don’t even score a run in that situation and Nick striking out.

Turner - age 31 - signed through 2033 Miller - age 20 - SS or 3B or other? Caba - age 18 - SS or other? How do those pieces fit together in the coming years?

How do those pieces fit together in the coming years? You figure it out when the time comes. BUT I can see a scenario where Bohm moves to first, Miller steps in at third, and maybe Turner moves to second (I've been a Stott fan since day one but his decline this year has been noticed). Harper goes back to RF (or DH) when Castellanos is gone. Those guys won't be in the big leagues until 2026 at the very earliest, so again, you figure it out when the time comes.

I said the same thing you did a couple days ago. I love Bryson Stott. Still think he is better than what he’s shown this year. And closer to what he showed in 2023. I think some of this is just having a new born and needing to make some adjustments. I tend to think he has a better 2025. But if Bryson Stott is struggling again next year, then long term you might think about moving Turner to 2nd, Caba to Ss with Bohm at 1b and miller at 3b. Harper to DH.

He looks the part to me even though he is struggling at the plate. I think he has a much better second half and then plays well in the years ahead. Closer to a Morandini than an Utley but rock solid in any case.

Guy is a jerk in real life from people who know him and doesn't have the game to back it up. I think he is the guy who is struggling.
July 6, 20241 yr I think they'll eventually try to trade Bohm or Stott or both and replenish the farm system as others come up? Miller is going to be 3B, move Turner to 2B and Caba at SS. You will eventually need to get younger and cheaper......

July 6, 20241 yr Gonna be a long night for Ranger if this continues. His control once again isn’t great (it’s either not close to the zone to get guys to chase or it’s just right in the heart of the plate) and he can’t put anyone away with a swing with two strikes right now (Riley should’ve teed off on that pitch it was right down the middle of the plate)
