How close is Turner to having enough plate appearances to qualify for the batting title?

Googling it says you need to average 3.1 PA over 162 games which is basically 502 PA. So Turner after tonight has 243 PA. Meaning he needs 259 more PA. Meaning he needs to average 3.75 PA per game over the last 69 games.

Baseball reference had his stats as of yesterday at 239. He had 4 PAs tonight so he’d be at 243

Braves lose.

i believe Turner had 5 PA tonight … 4/2 plus a walk in the 9th inning.

Then he should be at 244.

If you see his dad at the game say thanks for losing so we could have the 08 World Series ring.

I hope I do lol. The players are very easy to approach in that stadium. Have you ever been to a reading Phillies game?

Yeah but a long time ago. Honestly need to get back out to Philly and go to a game out there. It’s been too long for both reading and the Phillies

Well if you ever get out here and you go to a Reading Phil's game let me know I get free box seats to most games I'll hook you up!

Guess we can put that "haven't played anybody" story to bed now.

Go 2-1 against the A's and go to the break 30 games above .500

Realmuto coming back as well post break.  Makes sense to send Marchan down so he continues to get lots of playing time.  Stubbs is our clubhouse guy as well so Marchan will just have to wait.

Now sweep the Sacramento athletics

At least they aren't the South Jordan, UT A's. How the hell they got into the mix with like a 6k capacity stadium from what I read is beyond me.

Go 3-0 against the A's and they sit at .667 with twice as many wins as losses.  I like the symmetry of that even more than 30 games over .500.

Sacramento's stadium is a 10 minute drive for me on good traffic days and an hour drive on bad ones.  I'll be going to all three Phillies games each season.

That should be nice for you. That makes more sense than where the Angels AAA team is moving into.

Wouldn’t you know it. The ONE time in my entire life that I went, we sat through about two hours of rain before the game was officially postponed. Never tried again. It’s kind of a haul to get there. Marlon Byrd was the big prospect at the time. I remember the seats being the old wooden kind.

I live reasonably close to Trenton so I used to go to games there when Reading came in. Saw a couple of Pat Burrell games during one weekend series. You could easily tell that he was a higher class of prospect than the other players. I also saw Cole Hamels start a game when he was on a fifty pitch count. And sure enough, they took him out in the middle of an at bat. They were not going to let him throw pitch number fifty-one.

Man that sucks! It's a nice little ball park not a bad seat in the house. Decently priced food and drinks. I'm glad I live close to something like that ( 30 miles) . I can't blame you for never making that trip again though it isn't that nice lol.

One time I wasn't watching where I was going turned and walked right into Dominic Brown on his way to go take a piss lol. I'm still pissed he didn't really pan out. I still blame the managers for that, messing with his damn swing all the time.
