July 14, 20241 yr Is it 5 or 6 massive bombs? I've lost count. 7 total but at least one was just a fly ball that got over the wall.
July 14, 20241 yr If the pirates hold on to win today, the Phillies play every game from after the break til August 12 against a team at or over .500. At pirates (3), at twins (3), vs. guardians (3), vs. Yankees (3), at mariners (3), at dodgers (3) and at dbacks (4)

July 14, 20241 yr It will be interesting to see the total distance of the A's HRs today. It is going to be a rather large number.

The pirates series you are likely facing Skenes for one of those games. Probably a L and Sanchez and Phillips are pitching that series. (Guessing they go nola, Sanchez and then Phillips). Sanchez has been bad on the road and Phillips is what he is. Pirates have been playing really well and have a lot of momentum going. Twins series is against a better team but your matchups are better with wheeler, Suarez and nola. Probably go 3-3 On that road trip. if the rotation holds you are gonna likely have Sanchez, Phillips and wheeler vs the guardians. Then Suarez, Nola and Sanchez for Yankees. Probably can be 4-2 during that stretch. So sitting at 7-5 before the long 10 game road trip. I’d be surprised if they went 5-5 on that trip. Phillips, wheeler and Suarez for mariners. Probably could go 2-1 if we get wheeler and Suarez pitching like they can. then Sanchez, Phillips and nola vs. dodgers. Dodgers likely have betts back and chance you face glasnow when he’s back. Probably go 1-2. Finished with 4 at dbacks where outside of last year in June the Phillies have had a house of horrors (wheeler, Suarez, Nola and Phillips) over the last 7 years. Feels like match up wise they probably should split 2-2 but i tend to think they’ll go 1-3. I’m guessing they go 4-6. Be 11-11.

July 15, 20241 yr Actually, like their second round pick more than I like their first round pick. That kid is fast and big for an 18 year old. I think he was a solid pick. Their first rounder i didn’t love. But it’s a crapshoot in late first unless a top tier prospect falls like miller did last year

Frankly they tend to look HS pitching prospect and up their middle guys in the first round. Haven’t had a second rounder lately to hard to tell if that’s what they would tend to look for in second round. Feels like rooker, happ, arozerena and bellinger (although injured so maybe not) are guys they might be interested in if Crawford is going out. frankly, if you’re gonna go after Luis Robert, I think it’s gonna cost you more than Crawford. If they can only give up Crawford and lesser prospects id do it. But I think it’s gonna cost you Crawford, probably Caba and probably another good prospect just to get in the conversation. I heard on a podcast that the White Sox might just hold onto him this year since they don’t have to necessarily trade him. he still has extra years left in arbitration and they might be able to get more for him next year if he stays healthier in the first half of the season.
