Good input.  FWIW, the player that caught my attention at the beginning of last week was Jarren Duran.  He is acquirable as a Free Agent in the Offseason.  Clearly he isn't a Soto, but he won't break the bank the way Soto will.  Red Sox aren't going to be sellers this season, and they will be highly motivated to resign Duran, but the contract history they have with Duran isn't one that would inspire loyalty from him.  As I said, currently on a one-year contract and a free agent at the end of the season.

My interest only got higher after the ASG.

Wow we are fortunate to be missing Skenes

I was hoping we would get him and light his ass up - getting sick of hearing about him.  Pretty sure the media is already nominating him for the hall of fame.

As much as i would love to light him up, this stretch of games is brutal. They face 22 straight against teams at or above .500. And 11 of 13 series against teams at or above .500. Phillies have the 7th hardest SOS in the second half. The brave have 28th. If we get some breaks of missing guys I’d be pretty content. I’d like to win the division as early as possible so we can get some guys rest then get them back up with like a1-2 weeks left and let them find a groove again.

Like marsh, they are facing a lefty so I’m guessing he’s out for that reason

Should be Juan Soto. He’s an offseason acquisition. Maybe Anthony Santander cause he always kills us

Juan Soto is not coming here

Never say never. I do think they’ll be in the running. Don’t think he does but I’d be surprised if they aren’t involved. Too much smoke around it last year for them to not. I do think if they get him it likely means trying to unload Castellanos contract

Getting Soto and unloading Castellanos? There would be a statue of Dombrowski put up

I wanted to go to Pittsburgh this weekend for the game, maybe next year <_<

Come on, let's get it!

I don’t think it’s as hard if you eat money in the trade but get it from not going against luxury tax. You just have to be willing to pay the money but not have it come off your tax. Plus, it’s two years of 40 million which is much easier to move than three or four years at 60 or 80 million.

Get marchan in there!

He was good before he hurt his knee, but he hasn’t been anywhere close since coming back from his knee injury last year. I just think he’s not very good same reason the As just let him go. I would say we go and get two outfielders; one that’s going to platoon and then one every day, but I don’t think they’re gonna do that.

Of course Nola gets a three run lead and then gives a couple runs back the very next half inning.

I know, Nola looks like sheet

He kind of did the same thing early in Atlanta, but he was fortunate enough to get out of some of the innings without giving up runs because Atlanta made a stupid mistake, or somebody made a great play.

Let's hope the bats stay alive

Nola sucks. Let's hope the offense can keep up.
