July 20, 20241 yr I would give up Aiden Miller+ in a trade to get Miller from the A’s. The reason is because he’s under team control for the next five years and he is young. Plus when this run ends and you go to trade him, his value is still gonna be really high so you’re likely going to get very good prospects back at that time. He’s a guy I would give up prospects for.

I don't know. Miller has already had UCL problems. The dude throws 104mph. It's not if, but when he will go under the knife for TJ surgery and then boom, he's out for close to 2 years. He's a ticking time bomb. If they go bullpen help, I would go in another direction.

That worries me, but really he is a star closer. This is the type of guy you would give up prospects for cause he’s a game changer. if he does stay healthy for you you’re probably getting three cheap years from him out of the five. And when this run closes you’re probably gonna get a prospect of Miller’s ability to help a reboot when you go to trade him. to me it’s hard to give up adian Miller, but this is one of those guys I think i do it cause it makes our bullpen pretty incredible especially if Alvarado figures it out. I also look at it this way for this postseason run. Having Miller, strahm and Hoffman shortens the game and makes the game a six inning game. Because those three for the seventh, eighth and ninth inning you’re gonna have a real hard time scoring runs. So you better get to our starters. And if wheeler, Ranger and Nola can pitch the way we’ve seen them pitch, that is unbelievably hard to beat that. Right now I think you only have 2 guys in that bullpen that you trust. don’t get me wrong he is not I have to have him at all costs. And I’m open to other relievers. But if that’s what it took, I would strongly consider it. Because I think he makes that much of a difference in a postseason run.
July 21, 20241 yr Phillies at bats today have largely been awful. Ortiz has 81 pitches through 6 innings. Last two innings have been really brutal. 21 pitches to get 6 outs.

And now down 2 runs looking like that’s going to be a tall task. well bringing in gas can Ruiz so likely going to be at least 3-0.
July 21, 20241 yr Their offense is pathetic. Last 3 innings Ortiz has thrown 29 pitches to get 9 outs. We can say injuries but since this team went to Colorado they haven’t played consistently. It’s why they are about to be 25-22 since then and 6-6 over their last 12 even with a sweep of the dodgers.
