2-3

Phillies have Nola going. Twins going with okert to start but into festa who was just called back up. The Phillies should be able to score runs on festa. This is a favorable matchup

Going 3-3 on the roadtrip would be a great start to this stretch. 4-2 at home will be tough but doable and then 5-5 during the big roadtrip to end 12-10.

I'd take it, especially because the Braves are in a free fall due to all of their injuries.....

The irony of all this is that very few of the folks who post here were alive when Dick (nee Richie) Allen was the Phillies star player.

My first year of being a baseball (Phillies) fan was Allen’s last year. I remember him playing first base and writing things in the dirt with his shoes. That seemed to be the big story that year. The team was terrible of course, but he was fun to watch.

Also right when I started to be able to watch the game and follow along.  Dad took me to Connie Mack for a couple of games.  I remember Richie being my favorite along with a young Hisle.

I can still hear my best friend’s dad coming outside one afternoon to tell us that Hisle "just hit one over the roof!”

Might be able to do better than 4-2 with how the Yankees are playing. Guardians also 4-12 in their last 12 games. I’d argue the Phillies are getting two if the guardians worse starters if scheduled starters hold up.

also interesting fact with the guardian series, the first two starting pitchers the Phillies are expected to face are guys that used to be in the organization. Ben lively and Carlos Carrasco.

Crochet would be a great addition because he was a very good reliever prior to transitioning to starter this season.

Several weeks ago someone in this thread proposed a trade with the White Sox for both Crochet and Robert.  Whoever that was, can you repost what yo proposed.

For me getting Crochet makes giving up Painter a reasonable possibility.  Getting Robert makes giving up Rojas a possibility, but the White Sox are likely to prefer Crawford to Rojas.

Thoughts?

Credit to Castellanos he’s been good over the last 30 games. I thought he was in a slump and declining with his lack of power. Hopefully he keeps it up cause they need him too

A White Sox page posted this....

frankly think the white Sox are gonna ask for miller, painter and Crawford in that deal. Probably also someone like tait or Caba

Reds up 4-1 on Atlanta in game 1 of their DH. Pretty funny the reds are  5 games under .500 but 4-3 vs. Phillies, 4-3 vs. dodgers, 3-0 vs. Yankees

The sam Bradford school of negotiating

0-6 with RISP so far. So runners 2nd and 3rd no outs. Bases loaded 1 out. This is the exact crap they did in the postseason that ultimately got them.

Leaving runners stranded and swinging at everything.

We are so back.

Yeah their chase rate the past 2 months have been creeping back towards their numbers from last year where it was an issue.

not shocking nola also gives up a homer the next inning

A Nola home run. I am shocked
