July 31, 20241 yr I honestly think that Thomson secretly hates it in Philly and is trying to get fired

July 31, 20241 yr Just now, Iggles_Phan said: High leverage situation... and he got leveraged. He has no business being in a high leverage situation. He’s your worst bullpen arm. The fact Thomson got lucky last night probably led to this stupidity of saying he can get me one out and i can save my good arms. And now the game is likely out of reach

I want to disagree with point 2. It's baseball... theoretically, no lead is truly out of reach. Its about outs, not time. But, this offense isn't clicking like they can score runs on demand like they were early in the season.

You can think they’re coming back I’ve seen this story the last 2-3 So like I told you last night, I’ve seen three run leads mean nothing. I’ve also seen when they get down and something bad like this happens they tend to roll over and die. Even last night they got good fortune with the passed ball and still managed to eventually roll over and die if they weren’t in this prolong slump, I would agree with you. But based off how their past three weeks have gone, this is where about they don’t get a hit for the rest of the game. and I’d love to be wrong on this.
July 31, 20241 yr Really good communication by the Yankees there. That would have been 2 bases otherwise.

We've all seen what this team is doing. But, if I was going to doom and gloom, I wouldn't even tune in... there's no entertainment value in just being negative. I didn't watch the end of the Sixers season for that very reason. It was just going to piss me off, so I found better things to do. Gotta expect that at some point, they will will break out of this slump. This isn't who they are. Harper isn't a 1 for 30 player. He'll snap out eventually, and when he does, it will likely lift the whole team out of this.

So your lineup isn’t very good anyways and it’s struggling. So you making a dumb decision just compounded the situation even more. you have an off day tomorrow. So besides Hoffman who pitched 2 innings yesterday should be available. You should have actually gone to Jose Alvarado. And try to get that one out. Because he is going to be asked to be used in a high leverage situation in the playoffs and down the stretch. you can see if he’s fully back. Going to Ruiz was the worst Fing decision he could’ve went with. Especially because it’s back to back games so the Yankees have seen him just the night before and he doesn’t have great stuff like Alvarado. Or even banks who you just traded for. I could understand seeing if he can sink or swim in high leverage situations. But Ruiz is just dumb
July 31, 20241 yr Gonna come down to hays and harper doing something. and like clockwork the Phillies go 0-2 with RISP and now 1-6 on the day.
July 31, 20241 yr Thank you Castellanos. Stott starting to catch fire. That is good. We could use him with Turner and Harper being bad right now. there it is. Marsh striking out on 4 pitches with a chance to give us the lead. 2-8 with RISP. Castellanos 2-3. Rest of the team 0-5
