Should’ve just let Phillips keep going and fall on the sword for another two innings. Then let Ruiz and marte finish the rest. Now we are gonna used at least 6-7 pitchers

Dude was getting hammered, every ball was smoked even the foul balls. Compare that to the Phillies who hit every ball like they were trying not to hurt it. Soft

They did the same thing with Nola in Az a couple years back where he gave up 9 or so runs but they just let him get 5ish innings and then just garbage BP to finish. I know how it feels being there. August 3, 20241 yr Awesome that we are using Jose Alvarado in a 9 run game with no off days til after the road trip. This is why when it got to 8-0 you say F it let Phillips get to 100 pitches. Then let Ruiz and marte go til their arms fall off and use Stubbs for an inning. while we are at it alvarado might just be this bad the rest of the year
