Good time to remind: if you just want act like middle school cliques trolling and insulting each other go to RnR.

  • Just take a moment to realize how easy things look for this offense when the quarterback is right. This team just scored 28 points against a divisional opponent in a half. Just insane where things cou

IDK, You guys keep bringing up this "17 runs."

No matter what happens this weekend, Hurts is going to get a mega extension after the season.

It's like you didn't even watch this season. There are games where defenses focus on one aspect of our offense and we simply beat them the other way. The multidimensional threat that Jalen poses for defenses opens things up for all the playmakers.

This. I know a small minority of the former Hurts haters still are secretly hoping he fails. That Minshew swoops in and saves the day, wins a Super Bowl and proves it was the system after all.

But the race is over. We are not going to let Hurts into his final year without a contract. We have no 5th year option and this team can't afford him on the franchise tag number, which is just going to go up and up. If he plays badly and/or we lose, that may factor into negotiations. But despite what some think on this board, the Eagles will be trying to extend him regardless.

He's second team all pro and going to finish 2nd in the MVP voting. The Eagles would be idiots not to make extending him a priority this year.

I truly hope he does beat the Giants and play well because I'm an Eagles fan. But also because it won't be pleasant on this board over the offseason and the hot takes on Hurts will be hard to take.

Absolutely nobody wants that.  WE ALL WANT THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES TO WIN THE SUPER BOWL.

You ignored the second part of my comment. You would rather win it with Minshew. He's still in your signature.

I live in Spokane Washington, I am a Washington State Cougar fan, it is always about Minshew mania.

Hes done it in 3 games. 6 games of 15+ rushes.

That's problem: Either have to pay a QB and have a QB or risk not getting a better QB. That's what teams and GMs have to decide. Can't have it both ways unless it's Tom Brady or even Patrick Mahomes. In case with Hurts, I think it would be better to have him than not have him. If it was Dak or Murray, I wouldn't pay them.

All 3 were wins. In his one loss this season, he ran it only 6 times.

So youre saying when he doesnt run they lose? You insult his abilities or inabilities as a passer if he cant run?? See its guys like you who doubt Hurts all season long...smh.

Typical strawman reply. I've said it repeatedly, I'm not advocating limiting his runs or his passes. The player he is and the things he is doing are helping this team win games. I also don't live in perpetual fear of injuries and make up fictitious reasons to force him to play a certain way. Injuries can happen while running, they can happen while passing, they can happen in the pocket and out of the pocket. They can happen as a result of a hit or just happen without contact. They are a part of football and, for that matter,  life in general.

Youre a Hurts hater, just admit it.

Success kills a great thing sometimes. Ultimately I think Roseman and Lurie meddled way too much in Doug’s coaching staff. Personally I don’t think Howie (maybe even Lurie also) ever wants a coach to have the levels of power that Chip and AR ever had here again.in other words if Sirianni does win the bowl a time or two, we still could see the Eagles making a change at the top.

That shouldn't be all that difficult. Just limit Sirianni's personnel input. If he wants more, he can do that elsewhere. Chip & Bill O'Brien come immediately to my mind when I think about coaches who were doing great until they stuck their noses  into personnel  where they weren't as expert as they thought. I'm sure there are other examples.

I’m fine with them limiting Sirianni’s level of involvement, but they really shouldn’t be forcing coaches on him like they did to Doug.

Ultimately it won’t matter what anyone else thinks regarding Hurts. It’s all on the Eagles and their choices. They’re playing with fire here though if they try and play hardball with Hurts. They don’t have a backup plan just yet. They could try and draft one of these rookies and then flip Hurts, but that sounds like a plan destined to fail. As they say a bird in the hand…. Anyways I think Howie is locking Hurts up as soon as he can, because the longer he waits, the more the price goes up. Also I completely disagree with the concept that this offense is built for anyone. Minshew has been a solid quarterback (numbers wise), but his numbers as the Eagles quarterback have not greatly exceeded his numbers as the Jags quarterback despite the better talent around him. His sack rate is actually higher with the Eagles than with the Jags. He’s hardly looked anything like someone who is elite in this offense. It’s folly to ASSume anyone can come in here and perform like Jalen. No you aren’t the one who thinks this way, but this is the foolish mindset of a few. Also who bases any particular choices on what happens in a playoff game regarding quarterbacks? How many playoff games did McNabb basically choke in? Look at Foles. He’s been a playoff beast for the Eagles to include a Super Bowl. Did they give him the big extension or did it go to the guy who never even saw the playoffs? People are clueless sometimes.

What do people make Hurts not being on the injury report?

Definitely a positive. I suspect it’s still a bit sore and will hurt but hopefully we won’t see any negative effects.

Feeling good. Expect Goedert to have a big game.

That he isn't injured anymore.,..... What else should we make of it?

I mean yeah sure but I'm pretty sure he's still hurting so I'm not sure what to make of it. He hasn't just miraculously recovered after we were told he was in so much pain playing.

So you are a bigger Cougar fan than an Eagles fan?

You’d rather support a player who played one year for your college team 5 years ago and just holds a clipboard as opposed to someone who could actually help the Eagles win a Superbowl?

Ok, well they have to report injuries, being sore isn't an injury. It's also been almost 2 weeks since he last played already so. Pretty sure everyone is hurting by now.

Coachspeak. Five weeks is a lot of recovery time from a mild to moderate sprain. It doesn't take a miracle to be 100% at this time. The Eagles cautiously sat him out for two weeks hoping they could get 1 more win without him. Unfortunately that didn't happen. The whole time, he wanted to play and finish business (get the #1 seed). Of course they're going to say he was in a lot of pain. Of course they're goin to praise his toughness. Heading into those games without Hurts, the team made an effort to create uncertainty for their opponents by not announcing their intentions. Any talk of pain and soreness this week was just more of the same. That's what I make of it. He has no injury designation because there is no more injury. Lane Johnson has been resting his injury for several weeks and he still has an injury he will play with and still has an injury designation.

I wonder if his shoulder will require surgery in the offseason. That hit was a month ago and it still being an issue is concerning.

I personally thought maybe we were playing possum and overstating the injury to keep teams guessing but I don’t think Jaylen would want to do that.

How is it an still an issue? Because some fans are still concerned? Not only has he been a full go in practice without limitations, but he's been doing drills with the QBs and the RBs. At some point Eagles fans need to learn that injuries do indeed heal.

The injury didn't require surgery after it happened and now it has healed. He's been medically cleared. He's all better.
