Yes it is, but they have been equally disappointing.  Gotta wonder how safe McDermott's job is, being a defensive guy and all.

If they fire McDermott they are fools. I get it, he has not shown the ability to get over the hump. But they have gotten better each year. And that AFC is nasty, the gauntlet to the super bowl is loaded.

Good time to remind: if you just want act like middle school cliques trolling and insulting each other go to RnR.

  • Just take a moment to realize how easy things look for this offense when the quarterback is right. This team just scored 28 points against a divisional opponent in a half. Just insane where things cou

Again I’m looking for Allen to take that Jalen Hurts step next season mentally, so is Diggs 🤣🤣🤣

Finished second in interceptions.  He had to also be near the top if not have the most interceptions in the redzone this season. He just had a knack for bad interceptions at bad times this year.

Lost 8 fumbles to go with those picks. Winning in the postseason is nearly impossible if you lose the turnover battle.

Get back to me when Hurts has a playoff win in 3 different seasons.

Josh Allen failed to complete more than 60% of his passes this season eight times to include his last playoff game, when Jalen failed to do it only 4 times this season.
Josh Allen had one game this year over 70% completion percentage while Jalen Hurts did that 5 times.

Also if Hurts gets three playoff wins in one season would that be better than Allen’s 3 in 3? 😂🤣😂

Josh Allen is watching Hurts play this Sunday lmao.

Glad to see Hurts is Healthy.

Would that be before or after Hurts overtakes his "set in stone potential” as Tyrod Taylor?

The fact that Hurts over Allen is a legitimate conversation at this point is unbelievable.

If you had told me this before week 1, I would have called the relevant authorities and have you involuntarily committed.

I still give Allen the benefit of the doubt and would place him above Hurts in the QB hierarchy, but one thing is clear, Hurts’ and Allen’s trajectories are going in different directions as of now.

Yep I think the exciting thing about Hurts is that he may not yet have hit his ceiling. And with his work rate, we know he will reach his potential.

He's going to get a mega deal and that will mean we won't be able to surround him with as much talent, but if he continue to grow then we should be competitive for a long time.

Hurts could very well end up with a Lombardi before Allen

All of your responses about Hurts are setups based on extraordinarily high expectations so that you can have a chance at "see I told you so." You will believe when he wins a SB or has a playoff win in 3 different seasons. Yesterday, Moose called the O "a machine." That is more reminiscent of how the Pats performed with Brady than using Josh Allen Moneyball as a misguided standard of success. You are transparent in you claptrap about Hurts. You don't talk about football when it comes to Hurts. Like RTK, it is about you.

Need to be cautious, too. Unless he wins the Super Bowl, we should consider an out somewhere in there as well. He deserves his contract and while signs are pointing up, you never know.

Lamar won an MVP and has fallen off of the cliff. It can definitely happen.

He deserves a contract and will get one either way, IMO.

To clarify further, unless the person is Mahomes, I would always consider an out. This has less to do with Hurts and more to do with the nature of the game.

Yes I would absolutely have an out. Ideally after 3 or 4 years.

Do you not think if he is in fact the franchise QB, and gets franchise QB money, he should not be expected to win playoff games in multiple seasons ??

Donovan McNabb won a playoff game in 6 different seasons, and some folks do not look back on his career kindly.

The possibility of that looks really good.  If it does not happen this year, it will only be harder to do going forward.  IMO, this will be the best team Jalen Hurts has around him.

I do think it. That's kind of a "duh, everyone thinks that" statement. No one will say he is a success if the Eagles aren't consistent Playoff contenders. He is 24 years old and QB is the singularly most important position in sustained success in the NFL. Your "this is the best team he will have around him" is just another setup for "if he can't win it with these players, then he is not the guy, see I told you so" crap. It could be the best team but that would also assume that they flop in the draft. They could also come away this year with 2 defensive starters and stud RB all on rookie deals and continue to use free agency successfully under Roseman. Who can say other than the team constructed around Hurts is not Hurts's responsibility.

I think Hurts is 20-3 in his last 23 games. But he has to win a SB to prove himself to you. That speaks to your ego, need to be right, and lack of objectivity.

That is not at all what I said.

I said this may be his best opportunity.

And why does my opinion have such an impact on you.  You were obviously correct and Jalen Hurts is the man, why would one poster on a message board draw such a reaction.

Bills defense also lost a bunch of corners even in the game. I wonder though if the Eagles lose this next game and if Hurts doesn’t play as well as we know he can, but the defense just gets owned are people saying that or are they saying things like "this is why Hurts needs to be replaced.” I just wonder.

Anyone who says that after the season he's had is too stupid to be taken seriously.

Um, didn't folks blame Minshew when the defense ish the bad in Dallas ??

I can easily see a scenario where the Eagles could possibly be a better team next year.

Your opinion doesn't have an impact on me. Inflated sense of importance much? Just being part of the "discussion" that's all.

I agree and I am hoping we don’t have to see that play out that way.

I'm curious of this scenario. With paying everyone with the money we don't really have. Offense should be okay, but coach changes and defense having a bunch of new pieces doesn't seem like the formula to keep it going. I'm hoping you are right, and actually hate being doom and gloom....I was the same way after 2017. Caught a bunch of ish for saying we should of blown it up the day after the Superbowl lol

We made the playoffs and won a game the next year. If Jeffries makes a relatively easy catch who knows what happens lol.
