Because they lost 2 QBs to normal injuries? The plays weren't illegal unlike the late hit from the 49ers player and the fight

Good time to remind: if you just want act like middle school cliques trolling and insulting each other go to RnR.

I think having two weeks off to heal up and not facing the 9ers D will do wonders for Hurts.

Priority #1 remains the same for him, do not turn the ball over.

Bosa was hurt on a cheap shot... too bad it was a 49ers cheap shot.

No 15mph winds inside the Arizona stadium. 72 degrees and a roof

Honestly surprised it hasn't happened yet

Thanks for sharing this, it's a really useful analysis. If I see that in real time, never having played at any level, I would assume that's just good blocking from the offensive line

Once it was clear the 9ers were going to be unable to pass the ball, they should not have called any designed runs for Hurts.

I thought they should have gone to Minshew after the 9ers second possession of the second half after they went 3 and out and did not attempt a pass.

This is why I still don't like the coach. We are in the Super Bowl, he yells at refs, he's Italian... I should love this guy, but I don't. That said, Reid has monumentally screwed up just about every big game he's ever coached in with his poor clock management and refusal to run the ball. Against our pass rush, I think our defense has a field day.

If you re-watch how they were rushing Hurts they were crashing around him and blocking his running lanes for much of the game. Itll be interesting to see if kc can duplicate it. My bigger concern is Jalen's shoulder. He hasnt been the same since coming back

Hurts’ impact on our running game can not and must not be understated. On all 3 of tds by rbs, the lbs were frozen and just STARING at Jalen while the rbs went in virtually untouched. Sirriani/Steichen figured it out quickly that on the read plays, the 9ers were FULLY committing a lb or two lbs or a safety or bosa to hurts. They weren’t even looking at anybody else.

hurts and the offense took full advantage. That 9ers defense is #1 vs the run. We ran them into submission. With any other qb in the nfl (especially Minshew) the eagles don’t run anywhere near as effectively.

I still think it is over stated.  Either we have a great offensive line who can run block or we do not.

NFL leading rushers by yards

Josh Jacobs - no running threat at QB, and a far inferior offensive line.

Derrick Henry - no running threat at QB, and a far inferior offensive line.

Nick Chubb - no running threat at QB, and a far inferior offensive line.

NFL leading rushers by yards per carry

Khalil Herbert - maybe assisted by Fields running, but Fields is such a bad passer it is a wash

Aaron Jones - no running threat at QB, and a far inferior offensive line.

Tony Pollard - no running threat at QB, and a far inferior offensive line.

God what a stupid statement. Of course you think it’s overstated. Cuz you don’t know crap and speak in absolutes all the time. The offensive line is obviously egreat and helped by hurts’ threat to run. All you have to do is watch the 2 games Minshew was the qb and watch how those opposing defenses played the run. Defenses don’t need to commit and extra body in the box and the lbs don’t even look at the qb. They sell out on the rb and their run keys. And if they bring up the safety, it becomes incredibly difficult to…..

y’know what? I’m not gonna bother. You don’t get it, you haven’t understood it all year and you obviously never will. Just go back to finding more reasons to knock Jalen hurts. I’m sure you’ll find a couple more backhanded compliments left in the 2 weeks leading to the SB.

Calm down.  It is not a knock at all against Hurts.  You are in fact knocking the line by not giving them credit.

As I said in all the stuff you did not quote, how did Josh Jacobs lead the league in rushing with no threat of the QB running, and an inferior offensive line ??

Why was Aaron Jones second in the league in yards per carry with no threat of the QB running, in a dysfunctional offense ??

when the eagles win the super bowl in 2 weeks you're not allowed to be happy. :nonono:

I think that worked because they have a really good secondary and the windy conditions made throwing deep pretty difficult.

KC's defense isn't nearly as good and the weather will be much better.

Haha.  Yeah, I already asked someone last week to show me in the official fan handbook where that is.

I might buy a Hurts jersey when we win it, doesn't mean I still cant be honest about the team, and the disrespect the best offensive line gets is kinda lame.

You can't judge Hurts passing game yesterday because Purdy was hurt on his first drive after the Eagles already scored on a drive that featured passing including the big play to Smith.  Once they saw the 49ers were going to struggle on offense and the defense was going to destroy their offense, it was not needed to pass.  No need for Hurts to throw very much.  They ran all over the top rush defense in the NFL when everyone talked about you can't run on them.  They scored 31 points.  Even with Purdy they would have won, the defense would have been feasting on him all day anyway.

I didn't like that Hurts ran a few times too many though especially later in the game.  The 49ers were frustrated and playing dirty and wanted to hurt somebody.  He should run when necessary because of a play breakdown or he sees that he can get the first down.  But in that situation coach shouldn't have designed runs for him.  I get that a lot of coaches and players like to just be themselves and do what they normally do but you have to have situational awareness.

Listen to how stupid you sound. Giving props to one thing DOES NOT knock something else. And no, it doesn’t knock it by proxy either.

And you’re throwing out a bunch of individual players stats that mean next to nothing in relation to the eagles, their running game, and the NFCCG. I never alluded or stated anything to bring up other teams and their failures/successes in their running games. That 9ers team was the #1 defense vs the run. Without the threat of hurts, there is no reason for any of their guys to take themselves out of plays looking at the qb on zone reads vs the eagles. On all 3 of the tds by the rbs, look at the 9ers lbs and bosa. On those tds the rbs go in standing up, virtually untouched, from more than 5 yards out. The threat of hurts holding the ball CLEARLY mattered on those tds. It should not be understated.

Im hoping theyve just been saving Jalen cause they havent needed him to be full Jalen. We should score easily on KC.

Hurts passing TD to int stats for his last 4 starts are 2 TDs to 3 Ints with ratings of 64, 65, 112.2, and 72.3...with an avg yards per pass being 6.55 and barely 60% completion %

KC won by 21, played against a healthier 49ers team and had 5 sacks along with 2 picks

I....did not know that and I'm usually on top of it all....well, as long as we keep just running at will, we will bring it all home...

His passing couldn’t have dropped off because he hurt this throwing shoulder? Could it?

How many games did we win over that span?
