So he’s perfect and we aren’t allowed any objective criticism of him?

He's not perfect but something tells me you're gonna be pissed at Hurts if we win the SB with him having a huge impact runnin.  Imagine a running QB winning the SB...🤣🤣

Good time to remind: if you just want act like middle school cliques trolling and insulting each other go to RnR.

  • Just take a moment to realize how easy things look for this offense when the quarterback is right. This team just scored 28 points against a divisional opponent in a half. Just insane where things cou

What makes it even better is it wasn't necessary to put 31 points up while running 148 yards 4 TDs against that SF run defense. The passing game will definitely open up against the Chiefs

I certainly hope the passing game is better and I expect it to be as well. Just noting that when it was necessary for us to put up points, Hurts couldnt do anything with his passing, and it was a tie game at the 2 min warning largely because Hurts couldnt move the ball down the field. Hurts had his worst game of his season in the biggest game of his NFL career. Hopefully he bounces back in 2 weeks.

And as well as our defense has played, Pat Mahomes is a freak, and I am not counting on us holding him down for 60 minutes.

The Eagles are going to have to keep up, and while they have score 30+ in both playoff games, it is entirely different when you are having to match a team score for score in a shoot out.

Dude we ran the ball like 60%. Several drives were predominantly running plays. Have you watched the Eagles at all this year? We're a running team with the occasional big pass plays. Who gives a crap about passing every play when we have the ability to get it done on the ground against the #1 run defense.

We'll definitely take our shots downfield when needed against KC but fact it it'll be a balance attack or mostly runs to control the clock. Just like we've been doing all year.

So who you riding with in the SB? It's crazy how fans complain about not running enough but when we do run it enough, there's also the same guys complaining that Hurts can pass it. Very weird but I've been around here on the board almost 20 years so it doesn't surprise me.

Is that a real question ??

Generally, this fanbase criticizes when they pass too much and don't run enough.  There are games where they have a lead and still passing and people are screaming to run the ball.

So we have a game where their QB is out, they know they can grind out a win by running the ball, get to a lead and pass less and blowout the #1 defense in the NFL putting up 31 points and having 4 rushing TDs and breeze into the Super Bowl.

Hurts proved this season he took big steps in the passing game.  Everywhere you see analysis they acknowledge that, and talk about how the Eagles are so talented they can beat you with the pass or the run, they have multiple weapons at every skill position.

It's certainly valid to talk about him needing to be balanced in the SB and be able to get it done with passing.  He didn't need to against the 49ers so complaining about that is really odd since they dominated in a blowout win.

Hey ya never know. I don't put anything past anyone around here. Especially when I'm reading about the doom and gloom and those having issues with Hurts not having a 300+ yd day and multiple TDs. Fact is that he's good at what he does.

My point exactly! There's no doubt in my mind he can get it done passing in a shootout. We might just need him to be that guy in the SB...I realize that. I'm confident he can get it done.

Not to mention the only way we were able to get into scoring position is the fumble by Josh Johnson and the 7 penalties resulting in 1st downs that the 49ers committed. 49ers did a really good job at shutting us down, however not having a QB to keep their offense on the field, and their defense keeping us on the field is ultimately what did them in.

Penalties are penalties. You think teams that benefit from flags are upset about drives being extended due to penalties? No, that's something only silly fans whine about. What about the other scoring drives we had where penalties weren't a huge factor?

Even if you remove 14 points due to not challenging a catch, and the repeated penalty drive, Eagles still win. I also don't see why the defense recovering a fumble, and the offense gaining 30 yds for a TD in under a minute is a knock on the offense. They could've easily gone 3 and out and settled for a FG attempt.

I'm not surprised Eagles fans would nitipick over a 31-7 blowout  😄

This is your response to Hurts having his worst game of his season and the biggest game of his NFL career?

Man GIT with that negativity!

Mahomes is such a freak that he lit up an inferior Bengals defense for 23 points!  I just don't understand the paranoid/negative Philly fans.

Just saying theres context to that game. It wasnt as dominating as the score says it was. Simple as that.

At this point last year there were a lot of question marks about Hurts.  He had a bad playoff game against Tampa.  They had those 3 picks in the 1st round.  Would they make a change at QB?  There were questions and concerns about him being the guy going forward.

Now he's checked off so many boxes, improved more than anyone expected.  He's never going to be that top passer in the league.  But he's proven he can have a balanced game throughout the season.

Now he's led his team to a Super Bowl.  Incredible how far he's come since last year.

Not if he's throwing the way he did against the 49er's

Some of these guys wanted Minshew to start.  They worshipped Josh Allen and wanted the Eagles to have a QB like that...until he ran a lot this season and proved to not be the winner that Hurts is, so they moved the goal post and pretended they never liked Allen because he also runs too much.

Now the goal post moved to comparisons to Mahomes who is the best QB in the league.

He could win the SB and be the SB MVP and throw for 399 yards, 3 TDs and 0 INTs and they'll complain he didn't throw for 400 yards and could've had a 4th TD if it weren't for an overthrow.  They'll then spend the offseason complaining they shouldn't give him a big contract.

He managed the game and protected the ball. He had worse games against the Jags and Bears. My response is he got it done just by being on the field. Warner and Greenlaw was frozen and had bricks for shoes worried about Hurts. He still got it done on that last TD capped of with his 1 yd TD.

Yeah it would've been fun to see him throw 300+ yds and multiple TDs but I also knew the defense we were playing against and was equally satisfied with our physical running game and 31 points. Could've been 38 actually if we were more aggressive but it wasn't necessary. You can cry and be worried all you want but I'm excited about the SB

Hurts was not good on Sunday.

Mahomes is no doubt a beast especially on freestyle broken plays but that win was also aided by a 3rd down do over that shouldn't been.

Oh im excited about the SB and I think we're going to win. I think Hurts is going to play much better, but he played bad on Sunday. Simple as that.

I expect to win, I want to win, but if Hurts is off like that on his deep passes again, we are going to struggle.

Not just deep passes but he was all over the place on most of his throws.

He was definitely out of chartector with the timing and deep ball. He has a 67% completion rate all season long and led the entire league on the deep ball completion percentage and TD rate. It's no secret he wasn't 100% on his throwing shoulder that may have had an impact. He hasn't been the same since the Bears  He'll have another 2 weeks of resting so I believe he'll be much better. If not he's gotta do what he gotta do to grind it out one more game to get us the win.

Sure they were SF didn't even have 200 total yards lol.
