Exactly, but the cap needs to go up as well, but that probably won't happen as quickly as it needs to.

Good time to remind: if you just want act like middle school cliques trolling and insulting each other go to RnR.

  • Just take a moment to realize how easy things look for this offense when the quarterback is right. This team just scored 28 points against a divisional opponent in a half. Just insane where things cou

Eventually something will give. Either the cap goes up or teams stop paying quarterbacks so much money.

Either way the Eagles are f'ed for a while. Too many FA, not enough picks that can help quick enough next year, and an expensive QB

Howie will figure that out, he's the best Capoligst in NFL history, and that's no hyperbole.

Dude took the biggest cap hit of all time and still built a juggernaut roster in no time.

Hope so. This feels like a bad f'ing dream. I'm still in shock

I think you may be over exaggerating some bud. Their offense is young and mostly intact. Defensively they have picks to fill the voids

Lane or Kelce retiring? IS resigned? Starting RB?

BG, 3 DT, at least one DB, LB need help.

Not sure they have enough picks to fill them all and get contributions next season. Just replacing some isn't enough they need to improve on D.

In a way some of those moves help considering they need money. Also Gainwell could end up the starter. They could draft someone. They aren’t going to lose everyone. Just have to be patient.

Hard to believe that after what just happened. I've never been confident before a game and that guts me. Believing we can get back is hard to see...esp with a harder schedule. This is the most sickening loss I've witnessed

Yeah, we will take a step back next year, and that's fine. I am confident in the Eagles FO, QB, and HC enough going forward. We will win a Lombardi under them, but it won't be next year.

This one hurts, because they had a real chance to win, but we have seen far worse playoff losses in our lives. Will they be back? I don’t know for sure, but let’s stop acting like going to the SB is the worst thing that ever happened.

Eagles are five draft picks away from returning to the Super Bowl.

Name them.

This one was worst because they lost against Andy Reid, who choked with Eagles year after year.

Hurts played well and tried his best to make up for that fumble but it cost them the game. Yes, the defense sucked, but his job is to not turn the ball over. The loss isn't on him, but he cost them the game with that. Had he not turned it over they could have gone up two scores and this is a very different game. After that he bawled out, though.

They should not in any way give him a contract extension now and not for what you might think.

1. They are going to change the QB sneak rules

2. Defenses catch up to offenses. Right now their plays are "unstoppable" but teams will catch up to the system they are running. I'd let him go another year to see if he can keep improving as a passer and how he reacts to defenses making adjustments. It might also let them keep a few people for one more shot next year.

They did end up going up 2 scores at the end of the half. The second half the D was put onto the field and couldn't get a stop. When they finally did they had that penalty which ended the game

The main issue today was the D's inability to get pressure on Mahomes and that shank by Siposs which was compounded by the sheety tackling that followed on the monster return. They also had some bonehead penalties which killed drives in the first half, a half that they dominated.

Add in Sanders was completely ineffective in the running and passing game, Watkins can't catch a cold and the D not being able to stop the Chiefs running or passing the ball after HT.

Well in Andy’s defense he had McNabb as his quarterback and he ain’t no Pat Mahomes.

Doug won a Super Bowl with Wentz at beginning of 2017 (hard to get along with) and Foles after Wentz got hurt.. Doug actually used Foles correctly unlike Reid. Foles even looked better under Chip Kelly. Sirianni got to Super Bowl with Hurts. Put Reidtard on those teams, they don't come close to a Super Bowl. Maybe Reid held McNabb back,

Replacements for Lane, Kelce, Slay, some good LBs.

But after what i saw tonight Im not sure if anything is enough to stop Mahomes.

Let's face it, the weak NFC east schedule hurt the Eagles.  If the Cowboys and the Giants suck, it doesn't make the Eagles great.  The Eagles were better than them, but it doesn't mean they were good enough against good teams.  Never in the history of the Super Bowl era has a team with a weak schedule won the Super Bowl.  Will they get better next year?  It's obviously hard to say as when they pay Hurts, they will most likely lose some other high paid players.  Does Hurts deserve the $40 million/year contract?  In my opinion, no.  At least not yet.  Obviously, pay him much more than his current contract, but let's see how he does when he starts getting paid what other QBs around the league are getting when he's bound to lose talent around him.  And let's see how he does against some better teams.  Yes, KC is a good team and Hurts did well, but how will he do when he loses some key players?  Is Hurts a stud?  Possibly.  But it's hard to tell when the Eagles really only played one good team this year.  Foles also had his shining moments, but does anyone here think that Foles is worth $40 million a year?

Wasn’t a weak schedule though was it

they had the 27th easiest schedule in the league.  And they only had the 5th easiest schedule in the league because the teams below them Dallas and New York also had weak schedules.  Think of it.  3 NFC playoff spots went to the 3 of the 5 easiest schedules this year.

Well that was a round about way to get there. The problem is McNabb got worse when he left AR. Heck Andy got good play out of Smith, AJ Feely, and more than a few others. Mike McMahon was probably the worse quarterback play AR ever saw in the pros. By the way do you remember the team the Eagles were fielding by the time Foles was out there as a rookie? Not only did the team basically quit on Andy, but they were all hurt. Bryce Brown was playing running back for them. It was a disaster so I wouldn’t go as far as to say Reid didn’t use Foles correctly. Besides Foles rarely did well anywhere outside an Eagles uniform.

That fumble caused a huge shift in momentum. Absolutely can't happen, ever, but especially against that team in that game.

That said, he played his ass off all season and really, really good last night. He's going to (deservedly) get paid.

Even though I found this call highly dubious at that moment in the game, I have a hard time blaming the loss on this play when you are up ten at the start of the second and the defense utterly collapsed. Not to mention they had Mahomes on a third down and they let him scramble up the middle on a bad leg for 20 yards. The punter picked the absolute worst time to kick a clunker when he only was called on twice! Oh and the coverage on that play. The Eagles looked like keystone cops falling all over each other while their returner strolled to the five. How did all of them play coverage that poorly? We have been saying all year how special teams was not so special and Gannon can be too passive at times. Both problems showed in this game and that’s why they lost. It should never have come down to the refs.
