Good time to remind: if you just want act like middle school cliques trolling and insulting each other go to RnR.

Only good thing about special teams was Elliot. Fire the coach and get new gunners. A new return man would be nice as well.

No one expected Hurts or this team to make the SB in the offseason. He exceeded expectations & improved greatly since last year. On to next year to keep improving.

Let’s hope he wasn’t a one year wonder 🤞

Neat.

It was still a terrible, momentum shifting play that gave them 7 points in a game that we lost by 3.

It's okay to admit that he made a mistake. He'll still get paid and be here, don't worry.

I’m still distraught but Jalen needs to take another step.

Quite frankly though, I’m not sure what that step is - he has already become a fantastic quarterback.

But if he ever wants to beat Mahomes, he has to reach a tier of his own.

Otherwise, since it’s clear Andy isn’t going to retire anytime soon, Mahomes will win 10 SBs or whatever.

So the so-called "momentum" didn't immediately "shift" right back when we closed the quarter with 10 straight points? I wonder what happened next?

Obviously it was a negative play that ultimately had an effect on the outcome, but if that was "momentum shifting," then "momentum" is even less real than I already believe it is. Momentum is probably my favorite football cliche of all time.

The Hurts fumble suuuuucked, but so did the special teams breakdown, the several WIDE open receivers, Gannon's defense, Sanders' fumble, the bad holding call, letting gimpy Mahomes get a huge run, making JuJu look like Jerry Rice.

we had alot of mismatches on d because we had so much inexperience in the secondary and they took advantage of it, especially epps and our linebackers, that was our biggest weakness.

Would've been a totally different game game had we gone into half up 17, yeah?

As heartbreaking as it was, the game did show that Hurts can go toe to toe with the best in the business.

Can we start training camp this week? It's going to feel like a million years until the season opens.

Only a matter of time before the Hurts haters come out and blame him

Is that what would have happened? Would we have scored on that drive and then had 2 more possessions in that half? If Hurts didn't fumble, it sure looked like that 3rd down run was blown up for a loss that would have made it 4th and long at our own 45 yard line. But somehow, you have us scoring on the next play?

Everyone wants to find someone to blame, me included, but football is a team sport. There were mistakes and some questionable schemes called all night.

Hurts fumble

Dropped pass by Watkins

The OL was not great, there was a lot of pressure on Jalen as opposed to Mahomes and everyone thought it was going to be the other way around

The back end looked like they were completely out of position on numerous passes, I can’t recall but a few contested passes by our DBs. In fact, on many of their pass plays, I didn’t see a DB within 5-10 yards of their receiver and were playing so soft at the LOS.

And then there is STs. That punt at end of game was just horrible.

The DL was not great either, they were running all over us and we couldn’t stop them. Why couldn’t they get more pressure on Mahomes when they lead the league with 78 sacks? That stat alone is totally bizarre! I personally think Gannon holds most the blame because it all goes back to defense. The Eagles didn’t suddenly go from the best defense in league to looking like them did last night. That is coaching and his scheme!

I don’t think it fair to blame one individual player, but I honestly feel Gannon was out coached and I never saw any adjustments. Reid made adjustments during halftime, we didn’t

No, I have the Chiefs scoring 7 less points

But they get another possession against our defense and you still think we put up 10 more points in the remaining time?

F the haters. Hurts balled out, was the best part about our team.

I turned off coverage & didn't watch any post game stuff. Mahomes really said this? That's awesome. Respect.

Let's face it, the weak NFC east schedule hurt the Eagles.  If the Cowboys and the Giants suck, it doesn't make the Eagles great.  The Eagles were better than them, but it doesn't mean they were good enough against good teams.  Never in the history of the Super Bowl era has a team with a weak schedule won the Super Bowl.  Will they get better next year?  It's obviously hard to say as when they pay Hurts, they will most likely lose some other high paid players.  Does Hurts deserve the $40 million/year contract?  In my opinion, no.  At least not yet.  Obviously, pay him much more than his current contract, but let's see how he does when he starts getting paid what other QBs around the league are getting when he's bound to lose talent around him.  And let's see how he does against some better teams.  Yes, KC is a good team and Hurts did well, but how will he do when he loses some key players?  Is Hurts a stud?  Possibly.  But it's hard to tell when the Eagles really only played one good team this year.  Foles also had his shining moments, but does anyone here think that Foles is worth $40 million a year?

I don’t understand these arguments. The NFCE was most competitive division in NFC in ‘22. The eagles don’t determine strength of schedule it’s not their fault if most of NFC has a down year. The whole NFCS had each team finishing with a losing record.

The chiefs also had a weak schedule. Their SOS was worse than the eagles (including 2? divisional rivals with losing records) and they won the SB.

Hurts was fantastic! Yes, the fumble sucked ... but stuff like that happens to the best of them and had some bad luck to go with it in that it bounced right into the defenders hands for a TD. Aside from that one play however Hurts was flawless making countless difficult throws and flinging dimes even at less than 100%. His mental makeup is incredible! Most young QB's in their first Super Bowl have a fumble like that and they would crumble ... Hurts on the other hand overcame it with flying colors. Ice water in the veins and put up 300 Passing 70 rushing and 4 TD's ... without any help from a running game. Dude is a Franchise QB, point blank!

What was promising is he recovered from that mistake like a boss. He didn't fold afterwards at all  A shame we didn't get to see him for one last drive

Mahomes fumbles like that on occasion himself. Just unfortunate that ours turned into 6

It answered the few questions I saw about Hurts coming into the game:

1. Can Hurts show up in a big game

2. Is he good enough if the game turns into a shootout

3. Can he bounce back from mistakes

He answered all those questions pretty resoundingly. It's just unfortunate that the defense got absolutely worked in the second half. Going into the half scoring 10 straight, up 10 and aggravating Mahomes injury should've been enough to keep them at bay with how our offense was performing.

I guess that fumble wasn’t detrimental?

Mahomes is incredible and the best QB in the league. You are not going to stop him, but the Bengals have controlled him pretty well in the last couple of years, so it’s not like he will put up 38 every game.

Bottom line. Hurts is great and can beat Mahomes or whoever else if he gets a little help from his Defense.
