Literally no one is saying Hurts is the reason we lost.  He’s not.  And no one is saying it.  He was exceptional.

Good time to remind: if you just want act like middle school cliques trolling and insulting each other go to RnR.

  • Just take a moment to realize how easy things look for this offense when the quarterback is right. This team just scored 28 points against a divisional opponent in a half. Just insane where things cou

Mahomes wasn't all that hurt... I don't buy that at all. He was Jim Browning for the ole heads. No way in hell you're running like that on a high ankle sprain I don't care how much pain meds and adrenaline you're pumped up with. He played us lol. He did the same thing in the Championship game. Wasn't limping when he was running, wasn't limping when he was celebrating on the sidelines. Give that man an Oscar.

You should probably look back. There have been many people even trying to say that fumble cost them the game and some said his second half play wasn’t good enough.

Hurts carried the team on his back yesterday. Feel for him. He gave it everything he had. He had no support from the run game for whatever reason which was extremely atypical (no one can tell me KC was better than every defense we faced this year stopping the run). I can only think the field had something to do with that. He broke records, made history, and his defense couldn't get 1 stop in the 2nd half. He literally had to be perfect to win this game given the support he had from the ground game and defense. Just an unfortunate outcome. Even had he been perfect without the turnover this defense couldn't stop KC. Instead of a FG they would have easily scored 6 at the end of the game if they chose. Their only mishap was a missed FG. He'll come back even better next year. Question will be will his DC still put up duds when it counts the most.

I think the lack of support from the run game was KC selling out to stop it, giving Hurts more aerial opportunities.  Like I said, Hurts was exceptional and wears zero blame here.  But I wouldn’t put the run game on blast.  I think their reputation provided opportunities and matchups in air.

It’s funny.  Siri is pretty reserved in front of the media, while Hurts is really freaking weird.  Siri is very emotional and bombastic on the sidelines, while Hurts is cool and reserved.

With Shane leaving soon, one thing the Eagles need to remove from their base set of plays is the QB designed runs.

5) And finally, we need to reduce our QB sneak game. It clearly works but, again, our offense needs to evolve such that we aren’t relying on our QB punching his head into the teeth of a defense every drive to gain a yard.

Last year, it was crucial that Jalen evolve his game and he apparently did. If we are about to pay Jalen $50+m a year, it’s crucial for Nick S and team to evolve the passing game so that he can actually play for 8-10 years. Otherwise, I’m convinced Jalen is done within 4-5 years at this rate.

Unless the eagles get a one-cut, downhill, tackle-breaking rb, I don’t see the qb sneak in 3rd and 1/4th and 1 changing. Besides it’s actually one of the safest plays for a qb to run. The only way guys get hurt on it are completely freak accidents.

and as much as I would like hurts to not run so many qb draws and sweeps….. again, unless we get a one-cut, downhill rb, I can’t see that changing and I don’t know if I want it to. Vs KC the rbs did next to nothing running. When that happens, you put the ball in the hands of your best player and call run plays you feel certain about. When hurts runs on called sweeps/draws etc, the eagles have the "numbers” advantage everytime.

I agree that the passive concepts need to evolve and open up. The offense relies more on unstoppable plays with great execution and mismatches than scheming guys open.

Yeah. I’m not a big fan of my qb being "the adult in the room” with my HC in the same room.

but maybe the relationship with the coach and qb with the rest of the team is based on balance between them? Idk

One of the main things to come out of the game yesterday is that Hurts is definitely no question about it the franchise QB for this organisation. He was brilliant yesterday. Sure there was the fumble and that did hurt but everything else he did was superb. He showed toughness and he showed character. And he was clutch no doubt.

Yep. I've already been accused of it, myself. I'm sure I'm being included in this as well. Here's what I actually said:

That fumble caused a huge shift in momentum. Absolutely can't happen, ever, but especially against that team in that game.

That said, he played his ass off all season and really, really good last night. He's going to (deservedly) get paid.

What they actually hear/see:

"Hurts sucks. He lost us the game."

Check out Jahmyr Gibbs from Bama. Great hands, break away speed, great vision and great cuts. Robinson out of Texas will be going in the 1st round, I see Gibbs going in mid 2nd. He is a really fast beast who can catch the ball really good out of the back field.

I'd take Gibbs in the second and not think twice. Use the first rounders on defense and take Gibbs in round 2. Take Lane's replacement in round 3.

Only one or two are being overly sensitive or misreading comments to be fair.

I just hope Hurts is willing to sign a relatively friendly team contract. Realistically Kyler Murray's contract will probably provide the start of negotiations but be exceeded.

If by "team friendly" you mean 5 years at $50 million per with $150 million guaranteed (the first 3 years with 2 voidable) he absolutely will. Because that's what it's going to be. The full brunt of the cap charges won't hit until 2024 but there will be some impact next season.  It is what it is...

For sure, but it's still silly.

I'm hoping he takes a Brady deal and really lets us off the hook, but I don't think that's realistic, nor would I be upset if he took the big money.

That said, while I do still wonder how he's going to look with a worse team overall, he was outstanding last night. The game was not too big for him and that's a good sign. I truly believe had we not gotten that holding call, he would've gotten us down the field for the win.

He definitely proved what he needed to get that money and have this team be all his into the future.  He had a great year.  Pat Kirwin just said $50M on today's NFL Radio show.  It will be interesting to see if he takes what he deserves or settles for something more friendly to acquiring talent around him.  He seems like a guy who sees a bigger picture.

He’s an outside zone, speed, wiggle guy. That’s not what I’m looking for. Especially for the role of a guy who can take the pressure off Jalen on these 3rd and shorter plays. If we’re talking draft, I think the charbonnet kid from UCLA is more a fit in the one-cut, downhill, tackle-breaking role.

It feels like he really needs to take a little less money to help the team big picture. I love Hurts and he's definitely the answer in the long term. But i also don't think he's a Mahomes level QB. Hurts needs good weapons around him to succeed. I'm not sure he's a QB who elevates average talent. I could be wrong but it doesn't feel that way.

Hunt, J Williams, and Foreman are all play-big backs who could fit here if they wanted chance to win over getting every last nickel.

They could fit in with Gainwell and a returning Scott or a draft pick.

I hear you... but a lot of teams sold out to stop the run during this journey. Hard to believe Spags some how figured it out with this personnel. Something else was at play and I can only point to the field on this one. I don't think those guys could anchor and move like they normally could putting our uber athletic line at a disadvantage. The weren't able to knock people off at the second level like usual. Even so adjustments need to be made and we all know this inexperienced coaching staff is not good at adjustments. Advantage Chiefs.

I'm really not sure what he should do and won't be surprised if he takes what he's earned or leaves a little on the table.  Either way, I'm sure he does really recognize that talent around him is necessary and leaving some behind would help create that winning environment that he has been part of in college and this year. Time will tell, I guess.  Whatever he does is fine with me.

That's where I'm at.  Get a vet RB in here on a prove it deal, draft one in the middle rounds and pair them with Gainwell.

No new contract for Sanders and no need to break the bank for anyone else.

My prediction came so close then Sanders laid a dud. Likely he's gone. But then again are back really getting paid that much?

Hurts needs to find himself a millionaire super model so he can give us a discount 🤣🤣

Sanders isn't worth anywhere close to what he'll want.  Just atrocious in the most important game of the year.  Get rid of him.
