It’s obviously not about his play. How are people remotely trying to be critical of him after playing like that? Something else is the issue.

Good time to remind: if you just want act like middle school cliques trolling and insulting each other go to RnR.

  • Just take a moment to realize how easy things look for this offense when the quarterback is right. This team just scored 28 points against a divisional opponent in a half. Just insane where things cou

It all adds up to an L when you put it all together in the end. Sucks but dems da breaks.

I don't know man... doesn't seem like defense wins championships much anymore in this era with the different rules and such. Kind of like how the NBA is now 40 ft jumpers and a cloud of smoke. Superbowl scores have been pretty high lately with the exception of a few.

I kind of agree with you there.....and in the NBA you now have 7 footers throwing up 3 pointers.....its an interesting era, to say the least....

And fire both punters.  Shameful.

I feel your pain. The defense laid an egg for a complete half of football when the offense basically played keep away from the Chiefs the entire first half. No excuse for that pathetic performance.

People are becoming more athletic and the leagues are trending more towards favorable advantages to offenses. NBA teams are putting up damn near 130pts all the time now. Football seems like it's moving in that direction. Can't hit anyone, protecting the players, emphasis on downfield penalties. Soon they'll be wearing flags. In the end it's about the offense... putting up the points and exciting the fans. Bone crushing hits and salivating defenses are no more. They're like speed bumps now.

Everyone shares blame to some degree in a loss, but if Jalen is the first person you’re looking at after this one then something is terribly wrong with your thinking.

Yep, you hit the nail on the head. I played flag football in the military and it indeed is becoming just like that....for ME though, its becoming unwatchable...they can pretty much travel now, they don't really play defense at all anymore....I haven't watched an NBA game in years....it may happen soon with the NFL

L is an L... hopefully they get better and grow from it. Jalen is a mentally strong dude... he'll bounce back and pull the team along with him. I'm just not convinced we'll ever be able to put together that kind of talent on defense again once he gets his contract smh. Just a terribly missed opportunity while having a franchise QB on the cheap.

Apparently the talent on defense wasn’t enough regardless, because all that talent looked putrid against the Chiefs in the second half. Howie just needs to "do a better job” at drafting defensive talent. With that being the case an L is not an L, because after that lost to Tampa half this thread group was ready to run this kid out of town and it certainly wasn’t a blame everyone type of viewpoint.

Wasn't enough because the DC was too inexperienced in the big lights. Inexcusable to have that much talent and can't get one damn stop lol.

Loss to Tampa? What kid? Huhn?

Jalen Hurts is the mfing truth and had he gotten a chance with about 1:35 plus and a time out we winning.

It is what it is.

Come on now. Last year they were roasting Jalen and only Jalen after that loss to Tampa.

That’s a loss I’ve been trying to remove from my memory for sometime now.😂

Definitely coaching. Reid set them up all game long. It was quite beautiful. They would run a look to see how the Eagles would react then countered it the next play or series. Ate Ganon alive.

Reid also took advantage of the field conditions on offense. Very smart to get our DBs turned around in man coverage. One more thing --- I think Mahomes really did tweak his ankle a bit, but did a little acting and pretended it was worse than it really was. Then the Eagles gave him the Purdy treatment, thinking he had no mobility and were burnt bad.

Insane to me that people around the league are looking to anoint him as a head coach. I guess we’ve seen position coaches skip the coordinator role and go straight to head coach but I’m not even convinced Gannon was a great position coach in Indy.

Ask Mahomes how safe a QB sneak can be. You don't want to continuously put your franchise QB in a spot where a defender can tee off on his head or knees when he's anchored.

Like I said, "other than some completely freak accidents”. Mahomes’ injury was a freak accident. Other than the literal thousands of sneaks with no injury at all.

that qb sneak is unstoppable with hurts kelce Dickerson and seimalu. It’s damn near historic. The injury concerns are so negligible on the play, it honestly shouldn’t even be considered. And without a one-cut, blah blah blah rb here, I have no qualms about continuing to do it.

Obviously last season playoff game.

Totally forgot we played Tampa 😂

The hurts haters in the media are so transparent, I knew Marcus Hayes would say Hurts was the reason for the loss, same with the new morning show clown Decamera.

Hurts was incredible in the Super Bowl. On the list of reasons they lost you have to go waaaaaaay down toward the bottom to find Hurts name. Yes, the fumble hurt, but guess what? Even after that they went into halftime with a 10 point lead.

374 total yards (over 300 passing), 4 total TDs. Jalen is the only reason they were even in the game up to the very end. And frankly I think if he gets the ball back with a little time left, he’d have lead them down the field for a score to either tie or win. Dude was on fire.

So, while the loss stings, I think we should be excited that our franchise QB proved that he can put up that kind of performance in the biggest possible game. If the D gets just ONE second half stop, they win.

I've questioned Hurts plenty prior to this season, but you have to be nuts to put that loss on him.  He's that main reason that we were in that game from the beginning and almost won.  He played his ass off on every play.  I don't get some of our fans.
