The Path to the Super Bowl

Now that the regular season has concluded and playoff seeding is complete, wanted to start a thread for everyone to post predictions for how wild card weekend shakes out and therefore who we will face in the divisional round based on your predictions.

  • SF seems like will be a heavy favorite by most for a W next weekend
  • I'm going to go with NY over Minny and TB over Dallas in the other 2 games

That scenario would result in a re-match with NY the following weekend.

What say the rest of you?

When they play the games.... We have first round bye, so have to wait.

That's what this thread is for ... to predict who wins the wild card games (we have a bye since we earned the 1 seed).  We would then play the lowest seeded team that wins on wild card weekend.

I love it that Dallas and Tampa are playing on Monday night so if the other games go as planned, the Eagles are hosting a team on short rest.

I also have NY beating Minnesota, SF should win, I think Dallas wins but I hate betting against Brady in the playoffs against a team that’s notorious for choking in the playoffs.

As far as AFC goes, Buffalo & Cincy should win even if Tua and Lamar are able to play. I’ll take a Jaguars win

We play the lowest NFC seed coming out of wildcard weekend. My prediction is NYG

Jags 31 - Chargers 19

Bengals 26 - Ravens 11

Bills 40 - Dolphins 27

SF 21 - Seahawks 18

NYG 27 - Vikings 20

TB 19 - Dallas 3

No. If all those teams lose week 1, we won’t play any of them. It’ll be Cowboys in that scenario.

Lowest remaining seed of whoever wins

yeah but realistically

Yes realistically. SF has 13 wins. Minny has 13 wins, Dallas has 12 wins. They’re not underdogs

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the Giants upset Minnesota, and if so, then we'll play them for the 3rd time this year in the divisional round.  Otherwise, we'll play the winner of the Cowboys/Bucs game.   I highly doubt the Seahawks will beat the 49ers.

I just don't want to play the Cowboys, let someone else beat them (hopefully TB).

My prediction is the Eagles will host the Seahawks, they're always a big problem for SF. Then we beat the Vikings again and the Bills in the SB.

I have a hard time seeing Seattle winning too, but you never know with a young QB in his first playoff game. Purdy could crumble under the amplified pressure of the postseason.

We spank dallass in divisional round.

As much as I would love to smash them in the playoffs, they already have their hands around their throat and will choke next week.

I really like this AFC field to the point that I can’t even decide who to root for on that side. Some very easy to root for teams.

Jags have the Pederson connection of course. But I’ve always had a soft spot for the Bengals, and I like Burrow. I also like the Bills and would be nice for their fans to get a SB after that brutal 0-4 stretch in the 90s.

The only teams I 100% don’t want to win in the AFC are KC and Baltimore.
