I never said she doesn't count as black. Just the opposite actually. Yes a Jamaican will have similar to damn near identical experience as an African American in America because people are too lazy or stupid to tell the difference and judge just on skin color. My point. This does not change that a lot, possibly majority, of Jamaicans view themselves as Jamaican and not African. Hardly any go around saying they are African-Jamaican like we have African-American as a common term for black people here who have absolutely nothing to do with Africa. In fact when African Americans go to other countries they are not treated as African-American, they are treated as American.
