Somewhere around 28-30 years ago, I worked in fire equipment and inspected and maintained fire extinguishers, hood systems, etc. at various commercial locations. One of our accounts was a chicken plant that we had to check and maintain monthly because their equipment took a beating with some of the chemicals that they used for cleaning. I took a newbie in there as my partner one time for the monthly inspection and when we went through the "kill room" he swore he'd never eat chicken again after witnessing the events that went on there.

We went out for lunch afterwards and I ordered a chicken parmesan sub and made sure that I pointed out to him that the restaurant that we were eating at got all of their chicken from the plant that we had just inspected.
