Sadly there are idiots on  both sides unhappy with reality of history, or literature, and demand we change both to make it more palatable, in their idiotic opinions.

Horseshoe theory has its place, though it's reductionist.. I just see mostly groups like "Moms for Liberty" attacking history from the right lately.
