I would tell those parents the are guilty of child abuse. Keeping my opinions to myself has never been a strong suit. Disrespect or disregard? Pick whatever one suits you. Disgusted does not equal "scared". That terminology is used by you to assume a position in the conversation you can't have. If this is going to be a cause for you and you've decided that you're going to be the one to "shut me down", have at it. I'll enjoy the banter. I've been here for a minute. I have many friends that like Trump. Personally, I think they're being misled and he's a windbag salesman. If the topic comes up (usually does not), I am not shy of that opinion. I don't insult them personally, and sometimes they agree with me. They just believe in what he says he stands for, and I'm aware that not all of it is wrong. I also let them know to be careful watching too much Fox News (do the same for the CNN/MSNBC crowd). People who obsess over politics are usually frustrated and angry all the time. Why put yourself through that? Then we go on with whatever we were doing. What I don't do is tell them they or their kids are mentally ill. That's ridiculous. You get that same reaction, eh? They see your point and then crack a beer with you? I wouldn't have expected that.
