December 31, 20204 yr Best part is that redden actually would have beaten me that week, because I started an injured Jacobs, a sherry wentz and whoever the hell b hill was. But I won my matchup, so agent doesn't care

But I won my matchup, so agent doesn't care I've never actually tried arguing for drafting different people (aka paco's schtick) or "if I would have played such and so this week instead" (what a few others have said). The lone time I did anything similar was when someone commented on my team being trash (maybe a 4-9 record) and for some reason I used BBEs team (not sure if he made the comment or maybe he was in and/or won the championship) and if you swapped our entire schedules that year so we kept our weekly scores but matched them up against each others' opponents scores), I would have went like 9-4 or maybe 10-3 and made the championship game. So it was me being the one to point out how randomly arbitrary the computer generated schedule is and how that has just as much of an effect on if someone's team is "good" or "bad" as the players we draft and the lineups we set. Though it was wild that there was a 5-way tie in W-L record going into the final week and I don't think any of us 5 played each other and all won out matchups (even though mikewhack should have lost his). Not too many seasons I can recall where the bottom 4 playoff spots all come down to that scenario!

League could be changed to a points table instead of head to head wins and losses - that would solve that problem. In that scenario this year, your team still sucked and you still didn't make the playoffs, in case you were wondering.

I wouldn’t be opposed to teams having 11 matchups "a week” that create 143 combined wins/losses per team, used to set playoff bracket. Then weeks 14-16 being a normal H2H (I don’t know if the 1v3 format would work round 1, round 2, then 1v1 round 3?) That being said, a level of randomness is 100% expected in fantasy. That is randomness of Mach having a practice squad player put up 35pts for him versus me many years ago, as well as randomness of the 1v1 schedule matchups being the difference between something like 9-4 or 4-9. what is NOT random is someone leaving BYE week players in their lineup. That is something that players have complete control over allowing them to directly (even if unintentionally) tweak the W-L results. As I showed (which again, I couldn’t predict how each persons team would have scored in future weeks) reddens 3 bye players cost me a playoff berth. And my 6 seed team would have pulled a 2008 giants and won it all.

January 4, 20214 yr Basically, agent is the giants and redden is the birds in this scenario. And that is hilarious

I think that depends on if they kick Redden out for forgetting to set his lineup, which allowed me to beat him and keep Agent out of the playoffs. Which really, he should get promoted to commissioner for if you ask me Also - I don't know if I'm officially "in" now or if I was a one year rental since the Indiana dude didn't check in until it was too late

So on the surface, I have been pushed back 1 spot in line and have you in front of me?

July 26, 20214 yr Only thing I know for certain is that no matter what happens, Agent will be in and will come up with a scenario where he is the "rightful" champion, regardless of the actual outcome
