Nay Also, I can make that draft day work, I will be in Cooperstown during it though for work. We were told the house we stay at there just got wifi, but I don't know how good it is, so I may be spotty during the draft.

August 6, 20214 yr I’m fine with removing kickers. Given the increased schedule and likelihood for injuries/rest/covid, would it make sense to replace the K position with an additional flex (wr/rb/te) position? Or just "replace” the K with an additional Bench spot? honestly no idea what the fix is for empty lineup positions. All of us are capable of making a mistake at least once, and having commish/one person be responsible for babysitting lineups game day every week for a no-compensation league/position isn’t fair to you. Maybe if it happens consecutive weeks that’s just an auto-ban from the league?

It has normally been a defense because I don't like any of the options and think they could even lose me points for that week

There are some weeks I have intentionally gone in with an empty roster spot. It has normally been a defense because I don't like any of the options and think they could even lose me points for that week I forgot to comment on the weeks before, but where Wk13 ended the regular season and Wk 14-15-16 were playoffs/championship, I think the 17-game (18 week) schedule just gives us one additional regular season matchup, and Weeks 15-16-17 are now the new playoff/championship weeks. There is always the strategy of going into a week (or even a Sunday Night/Monday Night matchup) and not wanting to drop a "player" (such as K/DST) just to pick up the same position on their BYE, as well as having the week won and not wanting to risk negative points from a K or DST causing you to lose. But situations where someone has like 3-4 players in the lineup that are clearly on BYE or on IR is what gets annoying. It's essentially gifting their opponent a win, and I don't even enjoy that when I'm the opponent.

The roster negligence is more of a continuance thing IMO. Redden I feel like has had it happen multiple weeks in multiple seasons. Last year he actually was very "active” and it was just one random week that he left in like 3-4 BYE week or maybe injury players, and I think it was the last week of the season that would affect playoff seedlings, and if you would have swapped in his lowest scoring players on his roster for those "empty” slots, he would have won the week (his best available bench players would have had him crush his opponent), and because his basically forfeited week/lineup resulted in his opponent getting the last playoff spot and me getting knocked out, I just leaned into my schtick of making it a massive deal. (also, based on what seedlings would have been had redden started ANY active players, and seeing each of those 1-6 teams matchups and weekly scoring in playoffs, I would have won the league — again — so that lineup situation 100% affected league-wide outcome). that being said, I’ve still admitted in here past week that there really is no true way to police it and Mach shouldn’t be tasked with reviewing every owners lineup at 1250pm every week to ensure people have filled in their lineups

Unfortunately, that could mean Hazelton gets in.
