It explains non-cult entrenched thinking. At this point it is just about sides, not rational analysis. Trump's behavior doesn't matter. One side: We like white male 1920s America-race privilege over education-a theocracy would be nice-just make sure we feel safe because the society says we are better than people of color and women. VS. We believe in a just society for all-we will take actions to acknowledge past and current injustices-we are done with white male dominance and privilege-education is good-the country was founded on freedom of religion. Trump is just the figurehead for one side of this and the nation's future path (backward or forward) will largely be decided in this election.

October 16, 20241 yr It's only close because the GOP insisted on nominating the worst candidate possible. Given voters' opinions on the economy and the direction of the country, the incumbent party should be getting slaughtered. But that was the case in 2022 as well, and the Democrats held up because MAGA insists on nominating imbeciles. Had the GOP nominated any sane Republican, this wouldn't be close. Trump is the only GOP candidate (maybe Ramaswamy) that could lose the election.
