I've said this many times, but to everyone in the finance world, he's been a joke for decades. He's a carnival barker that fell into a gold mine with The Apprentice -- he made millions and had a false reputation as a great business man and deal maker created. My first dealing with his organizations (not including knowing his son in college) was in the mid 2000s during one of his casino bankruptcies. It was right after The Apprentice hit it big time, and he was demanding ridiculous treatment for his stock due to the value of his name. We just told him to screw off and take his name off the casinos, and he lost the negotiation. His casinos went bankrupt again in 2008/2009 (I wasn't involved), and at that point the creditors basically threw him out of the company. He's always been an idiot, but yes, he has gotten materially worse the last few years.
