Realistically it just allows Russia time to recover so they could try again down the road. The only thing that's gonna work is if Ukraine wins. That's the only way out that will work long term. I got done reading HR McMaster's new book and I'm going through Woodward's new book. More or less no matter who was in, everyone screwed the pooch in different ways. From '91 on we had the opportunity to revamp Bretton Woods for a post Cold War world, but all we did was just step on rakes. I fear that the Overton Window for an effective US foreign policy has closed. I also fear that when PRC comes for ROC, the right wing won't care.
