Walz was barely a bump in Minnesota. I feel like Shapiro does similar for PA. Only more catastrophic since Trump carried PA at the end of the day. It is career-ending for Shapiro if he's on the ticket and can't carry the state.

Over 10 million people who voted for Biden didn't vote for Harris.

I had heard well after Walz was picked that Shapiro turned it down. He jsut felt that he wasn't governor long enough and really want to do that for a while. He obviously made the right call.

I don't think it's that women don't want a female president.  It's that they didn't want this particular female candidate as president.  Hillary wasn't a great option either.

I know, I'm half kidding. On the surface it makes sense that a smart guy would read things and say nah. I think he's the right choice, but I think they have a problem in that party trying to balance the Muslim population in a few swing states and the pro-Palestine faction with the far left whack jobs and the moderates. While not the same or apples to apples it's like having a pro choice GOP candidate.

Only speaking to the last two points why is the assumption Dems and Magas sat out. Maybe some of them did sit out or vote third party. Maybe some of them switched sides this time around. Lastly, maybe less people were energized this time around.

Fighter jets going over my house several times while Ellie is sleeping every time someone entered Joe Biden's personal air space was super.  So glad that flight path is almost over.
