June 28, 20241 yr Author The Democrats now have only 2 options left, one that would win but doesn’t want to run, Michelle 0bama, and one that wants to run but can’t win, Kamala Harris. They can’t dump the 1st black VP for a while person, another minority is their only option.

While going through the adoption process I met a Florida man who was convinced Biden is a lizard person and obviously wearing a mask. Seeing Biden in high def and up close last night, I’m not sure he’s wrong. I have no idea what was going on with the skin on the side of his head by his hairline.
June 28, 20241 yr Meds, that's how. The guy is cooked, just cope with it. We can't have a wind up toy POTUS. The Dems knew this was coming.

It would be a dereliction of duty to the country, to democracy and more importantly to Biden himself to let this continue. You can't sell the Biden in the opening stages of that debate to the country as competent for another 4 years, you just can't, hell there has to be serious doubts about his competence now. To be honest I'm just angry they let it get this far, it's been clear for a while that there is cognitive decline and the Dem's just called it ageism and refused to grasp the nettle, you'd think they have learned the lesson of the Feinstein debacle, while you might be able to hide a congresswoman from cameras, but you can't hide a guy from the spotlight of a Presidential campaign for Gods sake. I'll be royally pissed if the Dems try and bluff this out with 'lOoK aT tHE aLtERnaTivE' vote blue no matter who horseshit, I don't think it's too demanding to ask that a Commander in Chief be unquestionably mentally competent for office. Maybe he did better at the end cause he wasn't remembering lines fed to him for a week and just reacted.

June 28, 20241 yr Sounds like Biden bricked a layup last night, and while I haven't watched it beyond a couple clips, I highly doubt he steps aside because of it. I think it would cause too much turmoil to appoint someone after the primaries. All that "democracy is at stake" rhetoric would be nullified by doing so.
June 28, 20241 yr I have no skin in the game, but I'm not sure how people can see Biden as a viable president for 4 more years any more. The poor man looks like he should be enjoying the rest of his life outside of the public eye. Biden had some very good and very lucid moments in that debate and improved from the opening moments, but it was a low bar to improve on. Trump had some Trumpian WTF are you on about moments and spent a lot of time avoiding anything nuanced in his answers. But Biden... Not good. Kind of sad to see what a hollowed out husk of a human he's become in the past 4+ years. All countries deserve better leaders than we are getting

I agree, I don't understand the fretting. It was tragically par for the course for both candidates, at least to anyone who's been paying attention. Trump's lost his bite and can't finish a thought. Biden's lost his marbles and freezes all the time.

June 28, 20241 yr Worst case scenario for Republicans I think. Biden was so bad that the dems can leverage the panic and justify replacing him with just about anyone. Trump was predictably awful and garbled his way through the 90 minutes without changing a single voters mind. All the dems need to do now is get Biden to step down, placate Harris with a AG post or something and nominate someone who is seemingly moderate and marginally articulate and they run away with it. Advantage Democrat.

I'm ridin with Biden. He should never have debated, and anyone who told him it was good idea should be fired.

Right now Biden is viral for all the wrong reasons. And I doubt Trump agrees to another debate. So that was his chance to take it to Trump, and instead he disemboweled himself in front of the world. Joe is now being looked at as a an old man who’s just not there cognitively. And it’s not like he can rest his laurels on a great first term as president — at least as far as the average voter is concerned. People are feeling inflation in food and housing, two new wars broke out under his watch and the border invasion is out of control. You can argue all you want that those aren’t his fault or that he’s done a good job given the circumstances, but most people will put the blame on his shoulders. He’s still in it because he’s facing Trump, but anyone who was truly undecided and truly a toss up vote is probably leaning Trump at this point. Joe was already hemorrhaging minority votes before the debate as well, and the math of this is pretty grim for reelection chances. We’ll see I guess, but Trump was favored before the debate and I think he’s a bigger favorite now.
