Trump has values of ‘axe murderer,’ former Georgia lieutenant governor says

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-values-axe-murderer-former-125021353.html

Former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan (R) offered one of the more personal attacks on former President Trump on Monday, saying he had the values of an "axe murderer.”

In an interview on CNN’s "The Source,” Duncan, a frequent Trump critic, said Republicans now face their final opportunity to decide the fate of the party and called on his fellow conservatives to deny the 2024 GOP presidential nomination to Trump, who Duncan called a "fake Republican.”

"As a Republican, the dashboard is going off with lights and bells and whistles telling us all the warning things we need to know,” he said in the interview, noting the 91 criminal charges Trump faces from various probes in New York, Georgia and by the federal government, and the fact that Trump contributed to the national debt while in office.

"Everything we need to see to not choose him as our nominee, including the fact that he’s got the moral compass of more like an axe murderer than a president,” Duncan continued. "We need to do something right here right now. This is either our pivot point or last gasp as Republicans

Cringy. Imagine being in that audience listening to that. I think may even rather sit through a Hillary campaign rally than have to listen to that.

I mean... who needs a punter?

Yeah it’s laughable considering the R majority.

Long story short is that DeSantis is using culture politics as a cover for letting his donors rob the state blind.

New Hampshire is in no danger of voting Republican in 2024 so I don't know that it matters. Probably would help Trump because his followers are dopes.

The first state to have a challenge was Florida. More will come.

I thought it was Washington? I don't see it going anywhere in Florida. Boomer central morons.

It matters if they take him off the primary ballot. Not sure if they can do that, but it would end Trump's chances of being the nominee if a bunch of blue states removed him from the ballot in the primary.

FWIW

the gop flat earthers need to pull their heads out of their azzez and unhitch their wagons from the trump train wreck.

Pretty much the same reason why Trump will get a 3rd and 4th term if he gets back in the white house. No one would enforce the term limits. Our entire system is predicated on people simply following the law and doing the right thing. There's very little in the way of mechanism to enforce any of it.

I would like to see it, but it's a risky run. you play right into the "they're stealing your country from us" narrative.

Yeah, but they will believe that regardless of what happens.

FWIW, I think the legal argument will fail.

The former is certainly true. The latter, I believe that we had people convicted of seditious conspiracy, and it won't be hard to prove Trump aided them. There is also the fake elector bit, but he would need to be convicted for that to take effect.

Oh. My, my...

This guy seems like he would make a good leader.

Smart, stable, a genius maybe?

🤣🤣🤣

ABC's George Stephanopoulos appeared stunned Sunday by a 2024 election poll showing former President Trump and President Biden tied at 46% in a hypothetical rematch, calling the findings "kind of shocking" in light of Trump's mounting legal woes.
