He's desperately trying to counter the cat gif he's been known for with a dog one. Sad.

You're from Michigan, IIRC. What is the general opinion on Whitmer?

Then Trump said he was the one that actually did it, and it just went unchallenged.

Instead of going in with a head full of talking points, just fact check fatty all night long.

Trump did it first, that's not a lie

You posted something about CNN's takeway being that Biden lied while saying nothing about Trump's lies and you're surprised? All politicians lie. Trump takes it to another level. The Nancy Pelosi lie was one of his biggest whoppers but at least he didn't think Niki Haley was in charge of security anymore so I guess we have to give him credit for that.

They also fact-checked Trump, toolbox.

I think that mistakenly assumes that anyone who is watching actually cares. Its simply a means to rile up their bases

His program was voluntary for insurers, Biden made it mandatory.

I don't support either policy, but Biden is the one who made it mandatory for all seniors.

You don't have to convince me that the average American voter is a moron. I've believed that for decades.

The scary part is they keep getting dumber.

He's saying it to call out hypocrisy but he's also kinda right. The election is 4 months from now, if this debate had been in October instead of June, it would be a different story. The Hur report was 4 months ago and nobody even cares anymore. That's the issue with these two guys, so much to facepalm about that there's no permanence in the news cycle. It's 10 lbs of oldmanshit in a 5 lb bag.

Personally speaking: Not a big fan of her, but there certainly are worse candidates. I actually voted for Scheutte in '18 but later regretted that once he realigned himself with Trump to stay relevant. I voted for Whitmer in '22 because Tudor Dixon is a legit cultist, not just a candidate cosplaying as one.

I like that they're going with the "he's a decent and honest man" routine like he didn't just lie about a bunch of marines dying on his watch. Wild stuff, but the lemmings still eat it up.

My uninformed opinion is she is the best choice if Biden steps aside. Newsom has too much baggage -- CA is a disaster on numerous fronts (crime, homelessness, etc.), he has personal skeletons (Getty family money, drinking, womanizing), and oh yeah...he used to be married to his opponent's son's girlfriend.

Personal stuff doesn't matter anymore.  The CA stuff is something he'd have to navigate though.

Yeah, I don't see it. Media talking heads can rant all they want but Biden dropping out because of last night is just not happening.

I think it's a moot point, frankly. I don't see a realistic scenario where that happens if we're just basing it on what happened last night. If it happens again or he has a legit medical issue, then sure. But even then, I think they're boxed in and are forced to go with Harris and then pick a running mate for her. In which case, Whitmer doesn't seem likely.

I think making a decision that big based on the media freaking out is a mistake, but on the other hand, there's actually a chance to make lemonade out of lemons here and come out big on the other side.  Also, more than anything, there's another debate.  If the nation has forgotten about it by then (which seems to be the case a lot of people are making), Trump will agree to the debate and it'll happen again.  Only then it'll be too late.

If there's one thing I will not abide, it's presidential candidates blatantly lying about things that are easily verifiable, which is why I'm voting for Donald Trump just over four months from now.

It's not like Biden was just off his game, his game is gone and it's not coming back.  Father time is unforgiving.

We can't rely on any crises to occur only when Joe is lucid.  He's the executive of the government and he's being led around by his wife and a bunch of caretakers.  If you didn't see this coming, it's on you.
