Former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan (R) offered one of the more personal attacks on former President Trump on Monday, saying he had the values of an "axe murderer.”

In an interview on CNN’s "The Source,” Duncan, a frequent Trump critic, said Republicans now face their final opportunity to decide the fate of the party and called on his fellow conservatives to deny the 2024 GOP presidential nomination to Trump, who Duncan called a "fake Republican.”

"As a Republican, the dashboard is going off with lights and bells and whistles telling us all the warning things we need to know,” he said in the interview, noting the 91 criminal charges Trump faces from various probes in New York, Georgia and by the federal government, and the fact that Trump contributed to the national debt while in office.

"Everything we need to see to not choose him as our nominee, including the fact that he’s got the moral compass of more like an axe murderer than a president,” Duncan continued. "We need to do something right here right now. This is either our pivot point or last gasp as Republicans

I'd be surprised. Unless she decides to step away. It just adds drama to the campaign...and I can't imagine the drama would be outweighed by whatever positives come with the addition of some new VP.   

Harris sucks, and he should've picked Rice instead when he made the decision, but replacing her now would be pointless. She won't win the nomination in '28 so none of it matters in the slightest.

I think Biden should replace Harris, and let Harris replace Biden.

Maybe Hunter Biden could marry Tiffany Trump?

I only propose this here, because of Bidens (and Trumps) age, whoever is VP has a fairly good chance of becoming president. It might factor more into voting this year than most others.

Unless she's bought off Harris becomes more of a liability to replace.

But who do you replace her with?  In today's climate, he cannot force a minority woman out without terrible consequences in his base.  Biden made a deal with the devil when he chose her as his running mate.

The devil? A bit melodramatic given the totality of the circumstances. She's not winning the nomination in 5 years and the party won't be irreparably destroyed like it was when the GOP nominated a certain someone almost 8 years ago.

Right, he doesn't need to replace her at all. He's already won the election next year based on who he's running against, it would be pointless to rock the boat by replacing her. And like I said, she'll be gone in 5 years anyways, never to be heard from again after she loses the primary. This "devil" is completely harmless and has a clear expiration date, the metaphor doesn't really work here.

I obviously agree she was s poor choice. As for replacing her...I dunno, literally anyone with a pulse? She is awful, and more importantly, almost everyone thinks she is awful.
