The thing of it is, outside of W’s lawyers and the whole "oneness” concept, the VP has historically had minimal effect on anything. So tbh who is the VP is pretty much a non issue in the whole scheme of things.

Regarding Harris, she’s the kind of politician that when she’s not kissing babies, she’s trying to steal their lollipop.   For her it’s not about doing anything other than just holding a title.

The one and only election of my lifetime where I thought VEEP picks were a deciding factor was 2016.  Trump knocked it out of the park securing the religious right with Pence, Hillary pissed off the minority collective democrat base with the guy I can't even remember.

That's actually a bad sign for Trump. He had 53% in Iowa last time around.

Yeah I tend to agree. Obviously happy to have it go in our favor Thurs but I think it's a bad rule.

The only reason it hasn't been changed to this point is that it doesn't happen that often. Maybe a half dozen times in a whole season?

A very Vikings play though

I believe the rule exists because in the 70's in a game between Denver and Oakland, a Denver ball carrier was about to be tackled as time expired. Right before he goes down he purposely fumbles forward into the endzone where another Denver player is waiting to recover to ball. He recovers the fumble, Denver steals the game.

Any fumble forward can't be advanced by the fumbling team unless its recovered inbounds by the player that fumbled..

It could be fixed 🤷‍♂️

The rule was in place before that. After the incident you mentioned, they changed it so a fumble by an offensive player that is recovered by the offense in the last 2 minutes goes back to the spot of the fumble if the recovery is down field.

One of the main things that I HATE about this time of year is the political ads. I don't care if they are in agreement with my views or whether they're 100% opposite of my views, I hate them all.
