I think Biden is understandably taking things very personally (when the opposing party is literally railroading your own son toward prison that tends to happen) but Biden is getting some really awful counsel from his campaign and closest advisers. He doesn’t have Pelosi in his corner, he doesn’t have Schumer or Nadler in his corner. He doesn’t have Obama in his corner. Unfortunately all the campaign has done is make a graceful exit impossible. It’s impossible to run a winning reelection campaign when you can’t get your own party on side. It’s been time to pull the plug on it for a few days now.

I say 'legit' because I got a job (for 1 day) at Laurel Race Track as a "hot walker". Near the end of the day they asked for my birthdate for their records and when they realized that I was 14, that was the end of that job lol. I actually got bitten by a race horse that day. Not hard though. As I walked past its stall, it reached out and grabbed me by the shoulder. One of the horse handlers there saw it happen and laughed and said that it was just that horses way of saying 'hello' to me. The rest of the day, I made sure to walk wide of that particular stall so he couldn't reach me again lol.
July 12, 20241 yr Yeah, he had to get through the NATO summit with no obvious errors to even calm things down for a bit, instead he had another disaster in front of the rest of the leaders and the world's media. Him calling Zelensky Putin and Harris Trump is top headline on the BBC website here in Britain. It's just sad now, beyond untenable, I hope that the people who've advised him to double down so far have seen the light now for his sake, but judging by some of the delusional tweets about the presidential triumph from young Dem staffers this morning it seems that may be a forlorn hope. At this point America's best hope might be a real life Monty Brewster running a 'None of The Above' Ticket.

July 12, 20241 yr The issue of age and being mentally fit enough to complete the next term is an issue for both of these candidates. The issue of misspeaking and going off on rants is an issue for both of the candidates. One party is a cult and won’t break from their candidate now matter what. One party throws their people under the bus as soon as the going gets rough.

They both make gaffs when speaking but Biden clearly has a better command of keys issues than trump does. "Who knew healthcare was so complicated?” "I didn’t even know what NATO was until not long ago.”

Afterward, Kelly retold that story to me in visible disgust. Trump, he said, was ‘a very, very evil man.'”
