July 19, 20241 yr Toast, that's an old fake quote btw. It happens to be 100% true, he's just never said it from what I recall.

July 19, 20241 yr This might put all those predictions about him stepping down by Sunday in doubt. Historically speaking, polls usually see a bump in the days after each candidate's convention. The problem here is that it's going to be difficult to decouple the RNC, from the assassination attempt, from the rumors flying around about Biden stepping down. All those factors are dominating the news cycle and would be reflected collectively in any polls in the next week or so. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4781478-biden-campaign-nomination-rnc-project-2025/

It's just for show.

I’m unsure if trump reached out to her but Biden did first. He released his assassination sneakers first.

A great illustration of the toxicity of the Republican voter base that mirrors their Party. As a conservative I can't stand Justin Trudeau and the liberals but if, heaven forbid, something awful happened in my family and I'm told the Prime Minister is calling to give condolences -- I'm picking up the phone. At least have some respect for the office.

And remember, if the roles were reversed and Trump were calling a Democratic widow who's husband was shot by a Democrat and she didn't answer, he'd be attacking her publicly for being very nasty to him. And Greenskeeper/Illadelph would be posting non-stop "funny" memes mocking her for having TDS.

I still have been turned off by him, but it wasn't bad. The first 20-30 minutes maybe, then it became the exact same as every stump speech I ever heard him give. It was way too long. Over 90 mins is too much.
July 19, 20241 yr How does someone give a speech that's simultaneously retarded/insane and incredibly boring. The man's truly a master of his craft.

It would be one thing if his approval rating was sky high and he could just blow off the "elites” but it’s not. I think it sucks that the party abandoned him, but they did. It’s over. If he’s on the ticket, I might just stay home at this point if I can’t vote by mail. He has no chance.

Yep. He should have kept it to 45 or 50 minutes. The last two minutes were more like the start but there was 45 min of rambling in between.
July 19, 20241 yr it amazes me how union workers back him when he is openly putting a target on them.
