Thanks for your concern but we’re good. She was on the ticket we voted for too.

I think it’s the right move too but it really did deny the Democrat voters of this country from making a pick for themselves.

100% agree with that.  They really should have figured this out at least 6-9 months back and maybe a bit further.  No doubt there are lots of people in the Dem party, on the Biden campaign, and in the media who should be given a very hard time for letting it go this long.  Not exposing the issue earlier is/was a major negative to the entire country.

he didnt go quickly over the edge over the last year. He was lost for his entire campaign 3 1/2 years ago. Shaking hands with invisible people. Getting lost on stage. Needing to be re-directed. Rambling incoherently. Looking for dead people in the crowd. Etc. He was never fit to serve as president.

Exactly. The elderly have no place running for president.

No he didn’t. He was bad in 2020, the Democrats have been lying about it the whole time. Republicans knew it, the only ones who didn’t were willfully ignorant fools.

Same question for you.  Are you saying he hasn't gone downhill over the last 12 months or so?

he wasnt coherent enough to do those things.

That's how dimentia works. In the early stages you forget things and have a hard time establishing coherent sentences. In the latter stages you're just rambling about nuking hurricanes.

With her?  Yeah. I’d be surprised if anyone I know was upset about this turn of events. Especially since he’s running against a guy that tried to get votes from my county thrown out in the 2020 election.

It we’re gonna talk about 2020 we should discuss Trump losing by 7 million votes and in 4 years coming up with zero evidence to prove there was fraud.

It comes down fast. Biden looked pretty good at the SOTU. By the debate it was a different story.

People with dementia have good days and bad days.  My mom has it and it can be a roller coaster.  The other day she called me (by accident) and my dad asked who she was talking to.  And she said, "my brother.”  I was like, "mom it’s your son!”

Anyway…

Biden did that. He's a guy who has enough of his faculties that he can still call shots, but he can't do it on the schedule that being President demands. So it was the worst of scenarios. He's at an age where physically he's fit, but mentally he's hit and miss, but technically still president.

I am more annoyed at Jill and his children. Joe may not have been as aware, but the kids at minimum had to know.

I agree with that! Obviously he’s a grown man but I felt sorry for him at the debate. His family should have stepped in before all of this happened because they knew damn well what they were dealing with more than anyone.

Holy sheet

He should probably withdraw as well

I was cautiously optimistic after his State of the Union, but the debate was just undeniable.

As effective a first term as he had, and regardless of your politics the legislation he managed to pass his first two years is incredibly impressive, you cannot have someone serving who has good days and bad days like that.

There was more gold in that thread

Take this for what it's worth, because it's more of a "trust me bro" statement, but I don't think Joe Biden has the same level of coherence issues in private settings so it's a tough line to walk as a family.

It’s also about how is condition would look 2-4 years from now which might be really bad. Obviously the Bidens were in extreme denial about his condition. It’s sad that his campaign ended this way but it was necessary.

I am very excited about Harris. I think she will do really well.

Jesus. Imagine Trump in 4 years. Old F’ers gonna have to be fed through a straw. And we’re talking cheeseburgers here so that’s no easy task.

I don’t recall this but this was discussed by the media in the 2020 election cycle

Now you all want to lecture people about the early signs of "dementia"

You guys have really been struggling

Agreed. But Joe and co. had to know especially after that debate that he couldn't be the nominee on a winning ticket. Even against someone as objectionable as Trump.

Change can also happen slow enough that it is barely noticeable when it's someone you're spending a lot of time with.

But kids know.
