lol, I’m going to make a prediction, Kommie isn’t gonna be the nominee either. 4 weeks until the convention, and when her polling numbers don’t improve, she’s out too.

Oh damn.

The trumpbots are losing their minds over this.

She didn't say that. She was playing to the black vote, that Harris contributed to the unjust criminal system that black and other people of color protest against. Tulsi claimed Harris went for the more extreme sentences than needed, prosecuted harsh sentences for weed, and claimed she withheld evidence. Not that "we shouldn't punish criminals."  I've seen many black people over the years complain about Harris' record as a prosecutor as well.

It won't matter now, as she already marketed herself well as the prosecutor and Trump is the prosecuted. Trump is a convicted felon, which alone is absurd he can be on a ballot. Her record as a prosecutor is easy to spin or explain and quickly deflect back on to current issues. A simple rebuttal to her prosecution record is that she enforces the law, Trump breaks it. She upholds the Constitution, Trump incited Jan 6, etc. etc.

What she has to do now is build a case for what she's done. The average voter doesn't know anything she's actually done. People that don't follow the news might see clips of her dancing, talking about her favorite rapper or remember the "I was speaking" line in the last VP debate. She gets criticism for being assigned to address the border crisis and doing nothing. They have to build her talking points of achievements and focus on what she'll do, and of course contrast to Trump.

She’s a cop and as we know from January 6th, Republicans don’t like cops.

I never thought I'd say this but I agree with AOC that they want the entire ticket removed.

It’s about time we back the blue.

Im pretty sure they should be quite calm. Harris is truly an idiot who can not speak in public or she will ruin her chances. Trumpbots should/could have been concerned and losing their minds if the dems had someone better than Kamala but I guess they dont?

It’s a good start. Hit him where it hurts. He really doesn’t have a counterpunch to her calling him a rapist and for some insane reason Biden never talked about it. She needs to lay out her plans but she also needs to embarrass Trump as much as possible.

yes. if you feel that way why wouldnt you expect others to as well?

isnt it interesting how none of these people waited to see who the actual nominee is before endorsing them? Almost like this has all been decided ahead of time....

interesting.

I wonder what would happen if any of the people who already endorsed Harris actually like him better. Can they walk that back and say they changed their mind?

Manchin left the Democratic Party

I think he seemed like a D bag holding up everything republicans tried to do all the time for his own personal gain.

But... maybe he belongs a democrat since he went against his own party so often.

And, maybe he can seem a little presidential? And maybe hes someone who is a little bit more down the middle since he kinda already played both sides? Might be someone who can have my vote.

The DNC isn't for another few weeks.  When Kamala invariably steps in it over the next couple of weeks, there will be a new nominee.

Seems like it.

he didnt go quickly over the edge over the last year. He was lost for his entire campaign 3 1/2 years ago. Shaking hands with invisible people. Getting lost on stage. Needing to be re-directed. Rambling incoherently. Looking for dead people in the crowd. Etc. He was never fit to serve as president.

Utter nonsense. Watch his debates and stump speeches on 2020. He was still sharp. He had his gaffes same as ever, but he embarrassed Trump in the debates.

2024 Biden is very different.

I don't know when the slide accelerated but Joe as a candidate in 2020 was sufficient cognitively, which was all that was needed to beat Trump. Joe as a candidate in 2024 was a shadow of 2020.

Kamala is far from my top choice but this whole "she's an idiot who we must protect from speaking" angle is absolutely wild considering the alternatives.  The top 3 candidates we've had literally can't form coherent full sentences.  The "best" speaker of the bunch just had a brain worm. Y'all are gonna have to find a new angle here.
