Kind of want Newsom.

Bring the band back together.

You can't have two from the same state on the ticket.

Technically you can still win with that ticket but if California's electoral college votes are the difference between winning and losing it could be an issue, because that's the risk.

Most interpretations of the Constitution hold that a president and VP from the same state can't receive all EC votes from that state.

Utter nonsense. Watch his debates and stump speeches on 2020. He was still sharp. He had his gaffes same as ever, but he embarrassed Trump in the debates.

2024 Biden is very different.

I don't know when the slide accelerated but Joe as a candidate in 2020 was sufficient cognitively, which was all that was needed to beat Trump. Joe as a candidate in 2024 was a shadow of 2020.

he was never sharp during that time. never. You were lied to, and you lied to yourself to buy the lies. You lied so long you actually believe it.

Ehhh it’s somewhere in the middle. He didn’t just happen to develop dementia when the right has been pointing it out this entire time. He was definitely showing it in 2020. Two years ago he was shuffling along unable to find his way into the White House. And most recently he sounded slurred and confused and it was really sad to watch. I’ve been around older dementia patients and it’s scary to think he was the leader of the country with this going on. It has been obvious for a while. I hope whatever medication he takes will slow the progression and allow him to have some peace in his twilight years. It’s a horrible affliction.

I like the idea of Sherrod Brown.  Put the two Ohio senators on the ballot against each other.

Then you 100% surrender any chance at retaining a Dem senator in a red state. Those are gold Jerry, GOLD!

Kamala is far from my top choice but this whole "she's an idiot who we must protect from speaking" angle is absolutely wild considering the alternatives.  The top 3 candidates we've had literally can't form coherent full sentences.  The "best" speaker of the bunch just had a brain worm. Y'all are gonna have to find a new angle here.

Consider the source saying it

she has pretty much been hidden for the last 3 1/2 years because they already know this.

Not sure. It really intrigues me to double down and pick Gretchen Whitmer but I realize that’s a risk. Mark Kelly’s good. Shapiro’s great.

I really like Shapiro. But going with a Jewish guy is not gonna sit well with Muslims FWIW.

The calculus of the Democratic electorate presents serious challenges.

But they fully rolled out...Joe Biden to the spotlight? Am I getting that "logic" right?

Is Trump sharp?

I take it you have never seen video of any of Harris' very few speaking obligations. You will see....

They were able to drug Biden to make him more alert during his state of the union. They tried not letting him answer questions when it was customary for presidents to do so. They only allowed pre-approved questions with practiced answers, and a teleprompter which he still F'd up. Repeat it again. He still F'd up.

They kept him hidden as much as possible, but he was the "president" so he had to appear. Harris, they let out in public a few times early on and learned form their mistakes. Now, if she becomes the nominee, they wont be able to hide her. And it will be a catastrophe.

Harris doesnt need drugs to wake up, and theres no pill that can make her smarter. She is wat she is and theres no putting lipstick on this pig. They cant help her. She will fail in front of cameras as she repeatedly has all along.

Maybe now that youll be paying attention, you will notice.

I mean he is the president.   Kinda hard to hide him.

Sounds like she's the tough on crime candidate we need. Might even pull some Republicans with that performance.

Point is she even rolled Harris. Being a prosecutor means crap.

No, she didn't.

Gabbard was a joke. Nobody took her seriously.

You can't really "hide" the VP either, she speaks regularly. The idea that "they" try to hide Kamala because she's a poor speaker when Joe is the face of your party and Trump is the face of the opposition is an absolutely moronic. Which is a classic HE stance but still.

So why did Biden step down?

I thought he was sharper than ever?

Literally no one in here has said that

The interruption between trump's 2 terms is likely a big favor to the country. He did a lot of stuff. A lot of it was overturned by Biden. Trump will do a bunch of stuff again, but after this term, he can never touch this country again. A lot more of his stuff will be overturned, and everyone will move on and be fine.

Biden people keep talking about how the stock market is at record highs, and ignore the fact that a huge portion of this country is struggling with the increased price of groceries, electricity, gas, etc and hasnt been able to capitalize on the investment opportunities. Essentially, how well the market is doing does not matter. Its just a carrot dangling in front of people where they can not reach it.

Under trump, things were affordable, and the market was rockin as well. Thats what we need. Prosperity for everyone. Not just the wealthy.

What "stuff" did he do? There was one major piece of legislation passed that I can think of off the top of my head.

Biden passed at least four big ticket items.

Trump talked a lot and played a lot of golf. He didn't actually accomplish much of anything.

I dont like him as a person but I like his policies and the fact that he can see them through. And isnt afraid to do it despite how much your feelings might be hurt about it.

Biden was clearly a figurehead for someone pulling the strings behind the scenes, for very stupid policies that weaken our country.

This might be two of the dumbest paragraphs I've ever seen here back-to-back.
