Not a fan of Mitch either and I like Bill, Joe Lieberman, Joe M, and Tulsi. Trump is right on many things he says, but his personality turns me off. That doesn't mean I don't agree with him on the right establishment leading the GOP in bad directions. That doesn't mean I like the far right wing like Boobert, MTG, or Matt Gaetz because I don't at all.

So you hate Adam Kinzinger because of his policies? Same with Pence and Ryan, I bet.

What difference does it make? I like what I like. I try to be open on some stuff but I'm a conservative.

I still can't believe you guys think that's happening. The dems couldn't have chosen worse.  It's quite relaxed in this corner.

Trump is refusing to debate, Steven Miller is having a conniption fit, and poor zuker is insisting that the corpse of Joe Biden has to be the nominee because reasons

Harris has already raised 47 million in an afternoon

I thought he was gonna do, "Joe Biden has dropped out of the race. Here's why that's bad news for Joe Biden." but maybe would've been too on the nose.

Absolutely. Not a fan of that family.

D Cheney was a good dude — at least back in his congressional days — from what I’ve been told by a family member who was well acquainted with him during the 80’s.

The Iraq war was a major mistake, but I think the criticism against him on the grounds of Halliburton is misplaced. Yes they made a bunch of money, but they were the only contractor capable of supplying the infrastructure necessary. I think the idea of the war being some kind of nefarious moneymaking scheme is really misplaced.

He was always a hardline hawk, not much different from McCain in that regard (who by all accounts was an actual Ahole in person). But from what I was told, while he was hardline and stern professionally, he wasn’t unnecessarily rude or anything. Just your basic Cold War hawkish conservative.

That all said, he certainly deserves plenty of criticism for championing the Iraq war. And the framing of him as Darth Vader combined with his own lack of charisma certainly didn’t help the public perception of him.

Didn’t Cheney murder some guy on a hunting trip?

Shot him in the face with bird shot (smaller pellets), so the guy survived.

Let's check in on the "changed man"...

Wow. Very much changed!

So much unity! He's really bringing us all together in ways nobody could've imagined.

An open convention would be great viewing and bring a bunch of needed enthusiasm to the Democratic Party, but at this point it’s late in the game.  The delegates will line up behind Harris and the only compelling question is who the VP nominee will be.

There may have been some method in Biden’s madness staying in as long as he did — this way Harris’ chances of being the presumptive nominee are very high.  She wouldn’t be my choice if I was a Democrat Strategist, but she’s got a real fighting chance and some genuine enthusiasm behind her — which is more than what Biden had.

The country was a rudderless ship every day of the 4 years Trump was in office, but let’s worry about these few months

Not only that, but the guy who got shot was the one who publicly apologized for it.

I’ve been trying to convince paco we need one to get down to the pool lol. paco is actually a really good golfer and I’m an avid fan of the sport (both seasons of Full Swing on Netflix are great for anyone interested in golf). We are hoping that baby girl will be interested in it too. View from the tee box for the 10th hole on our street :-)

My man just got shot in the ear and within a week everyone has forgotten about it. Now he's got to run against someone without dimentia.

Your regular reminder that countries all over the world manage to run elections including full campaigns in much less than half the time that Harris or AN Other would have to pitch to the US people following the Democratic convention. The idea that a new nominee would face an impossible task is honestly questionable.

What the Dems need more than anything is a set of policies and a positive campaign to vote for them, if they spend another 3 months running a "we're not Trump" campaign they'll struggle. Run a campaign telling the average Joe how your policies will improve things for them, say this is what we'll do on taxes, foreign policy, health, national infrastructure and employment and how it will improve your life, don't talk about improving conditions for business, talk about how it directly improves things for people.
