I do think that personally disliking someone and the decision to support or not support them can and should often be separate. 

Trump is a POS, and has demonstrated in various POS ways that he is wholly unfit for the office of the presidency. His crowning achievement is riling up supporters to "fight fight fight" before sending them to the Capitol where they spent hours breaching then occupying the building before he lifted a finger.

Harris may also be a POS, I don't know her personally. But I do have more faith that Harris would concede she lost an election and would not use the levers of power to try and overturn an election she lost. 

It's a low bar, but that's where we are IMHO. YMMV.

I'm torn. On one hand Trump is a habitual liar, an epic narcissist, has been caught running multiple scams, has a long history of sexual misconduct (at best, assault more likely), has scared any qualified adult away from his team and replaced them with yes-men, repeatedly lied about a stolen election and incited an violent insurrection. On the other hand Kamala is from California and isn't super likable. Both sides guys. Both sides.

We agree. When it comes to jokes about Trump I don't find the guy funny honestly cause he is so bad personally but you all posts stuff I have laughed at. I've probably added a laughing reaction and moved on. People make Harris jokes and people flip out. They need to lighten up.

I think what people get sensitive about is holding people to wildly different standards. The big knock that you and others are levying at Harris is her dating history, which frankly is not something that would be held against any man. Harris having lived a "bachelorette" life before marrying at 50 is interpreted by the right as her "sleeping her way to the top" - is that the sort of criticism you would have of a man who waited until 50 to marry? 

That may seem like flipping out, but when you're arguing that you can't support Harris for this sort of behavior, when the alternative is a sexual predator who banged a porn star while his wife was pregnant at home - which is among the least of his known deviancies - it does have the ring of hypocrisy. You have to recognize that.

To be sure people are hypocritical all the time. I know I am not always as consistent as I'd like to be. How you feel is how you feel. But some modicum of introspection there would probably do you good.

I've made fun of JD for his looks and thinking about liking dick. I've said his theme song was YMCA. I've also said I don't like him. Not on the Harris/Gavin level but nobody gave me crap
