I shouldn't be surprised since Trump's campaign is generally a disorganized crapfest, but they had to see this as a possibility. So far they seem to be settling on 3 attacks, all of which are misguided: (i) suggesting Biden didn't really issue the statement (conspiracy BS) and/or saying this is undemocratic, (ii) legal challenges to keep Harris off the ballot and (iii) talking about Harris' sexual history. These are all losers -- the first one is insane (and high comedy coming from Trump), the second one makes them look scared, and the third one may rally female support for Harris. She was put in charge of the border by Biden. They should be calling her the "border czar" every 15 seconds. You'll be hearing a lot more about that - if in fact she's still standing after the DNC next month

She was put in charge of the border by Biden. They should be calling her the "border czar" every 15 seconds. Democrats quickly rallied around Harris. Whatever was going on behind the scenes and the speculation and drama in the media and all that, will be quickly forgotten. The news cycle already forgot about an assassination attempt on a former POTUS and current candidate. Since Trump's "fist pump" photo moment after the attempt, he has put out new Trump sneakers, chosen a terrible VP, made Amber Rose, Kid Rock and Hulk Hogan the highlights of the RNC, ranted about Biden the same day he was dropping out, and already called Harris dumb and is whining about it being unfair to change the candidate this late. His off the cuff chaotic approach just hurts him all the time. Biden would go off script or show mental decline as well. Harris has her gaffes and cringe moments as well, but she's younger, enthusiastic, energetic and (if she's smart) she'll stick to the prepared talking points while Trump talks more about Silence of the Lambs and JD Vance thinks liberals will call Diet Mt. Dew r-a-c-i-s-t.
July 22, 20241 yr Not gonna lie though the "Mamala" thing is pretty cringe worthy. It's not gonna outweigh trying to violently overthrow the election, but it's closer than I'd like to admit. #bothsides!
July 22, 20241 yr There's a certain convicted felon who is watching this on his favorite channel right now and absolutely seething.

Sorry, but carrying on like a child instead of a Presidential candidate, he deserves every shot taken at him. What a complete jerk. I wish he would STFU. Those posts are so unhinged.

July 22, 20241 yr J.D. Vance, or as he was born, James Donald Bowman , or James David Hamel, as he was later known, at least until he got married, when he took his grand parent's name, and again changed his middle name, into the makeup wearing tranny that many here will cheerfully vote for, James David Vance.
July 22, 20241 yr so, is there any legal precedence with this whole deal of biden dropping out after the primaries? do we have anything in the state laws about this that dictates what the next steps would have to be?

There's no legal concern since he released his delegates prior to the convention. No different than if he were to have a legit medical issue and puts a plan of succession into place. Anyone who is claiming this isn't by the book is either a right-wing moron who falls for every talking point on FNC, or is a wanna-be pundit that's pissed off because an open convention isn't happening.

He wasn't nominated yet. He endorsed her. So at the convention its pretty much a done deal that his delegates will pledge to her and nominate her on the first roll call. It's actually pretty simple. If there were an open convention it would get messier. If someone else wanted to get the money Biden raised it would be messier. The way this shookout is pretty clear cut. The ballots aren't set until the candidates are officially nominated by their party.
