They were going to bash Biden over the head with MAGA and Biden was helpless to fight back.

Now, I guess the fear is that they havent strategized to appeal to a wide enough base IF democrats had a more legitimate candidate where that was going to become important in a closer race.

Im not convinced Harris is that legitimate. But theoretically.... they could have tried to win a lot more of the women voters over.

yes. Hes a very traditional religious person whos views differ from mine on certain issues.

Some of it is his opinion, and of course he can be disingenuous to try to make his points sound stronger at times.

But, there are still some good points raised when you pick through some of his own commentary and take out the points that are truly based in reality.

She wasnt good at her job. She wasnt a good presidential candidate, and won 0 votes in the primaries when she ran (now she is just planted there as our candidate). And a ton of people are faking enthusiasm. The very shady way that she is being planted in this position without the public getting to vote is going to rub a ton of people the wrong way. Tha fake enthusiasm will fade over the next few months. Especially, the more she has to appear in public.

Now, take any other flaw she has (and there are a bunch). You can pick and choose which you want to accept, or pretend and ignore, or legitimately cast off as lies. It seems that starting on such a weak foundation, any additional flaw you can add on is really harmful to her chances. Which really would be slim to none if she was in this race since the beginning.

You have to think that 4 months away from an election is the only reason she has any hope of holding on. At the same time, its kinda long to feign enthusiasm too. Im not sure if the enthusiasm will or wont last. Its a possibility that she is left with mostly just the anyone but trump voters, and loses a lot of reasonable thinking democrats. And sure as hell isnt winning over any republican votes either. Im not saying those reasonable democrat voters will switch to Trump. But she cant afford for people to stay home either. She needs a MASSIVE turnout like Bidens 4 years ago because Trump will have his base rallied to go out in numbers. 

Im not sure she is going to get that massive turnout. Im pretty sure she wont.

You make these absolute statements and then act like they are fact. Losing a primary does not mean "no one in our party" liked her. It just means they liked someone better at the time. The funny think about Republicans right now is they are going out of their way to speak for democrats. It's almost comical at this point.

The part that you're skipping with all that is that they don't care. If they have to say Biden is the smartest human being that ever lived, then it's that. If a month later, it's oh my god he has to go (with feigned shock), it's that. Now Kamala is the greatest thing since sliced roti on a cotton plantation. It doesn't matter. It's a weird culture war being fought on the battlefield of logical fallacy, and the only thing that will end it is the Sweet Meteor of Death.

Let me assure you, we are very enthusiastic and cannot wait to vote for Harris. 

I know a lot of you crazy people in CVON are very enthusiastic. But a lot of it is fake to try to get a rise out of republicans. And also because you didnt have a choice. You are doing what you have to do. A lot of people will tire of acting like such sheep by November. A lot of people will take a moment to think about how this all actually went down and not everyone is going to be ok with just toeing the party line and doing what they were told. 

Again, Im not saying people are going to suddenly vote for Trump because of that. But it can certainly make a lot of people decide to stay home.

Thats not been glossed over. Thats precisely the "fake" when Shapiro talked about the fake enthusiasm. 

This reminds me of PRIME hydration drink by one of those Paul brothers. I have sons 8 and 10 years old. Prime demographic. Had to have this stuff. Every and any flavor would fly off shelves immediately. Big time fad. Coolest thing to drink at little league and any other sports games 2 years ago. Every brand new flavor was nearly impossible to find for a few weeks after release. And during all of the craze, youd find that almost none of the kids would actually finish their drink despite being hot and thirsty. They didnt actually like it. But it was "cool". It was a lot of fake enthusiasm because they felt like they "had" to have it. Its already lost a ton of shelf space in stores. And its never sold out anywhere, ever. 

Kamala is like a fad right now because they were told this is who they have to rally around (despite the fact that they werent even close to choosing her years ago when they had the chance in a legitimate process). How long can they make the fad last?
