I didn't watch. Thank the Gods. Vivek is a clown show and hearing him speak made it difficult to watch highlights. None of these folks are Presidential. Some are there to be VP. Some want to be in the closet. None can catch the criminal defendant. it's pretty much over. They should all drop out.

Okay, so this is really fascinating.  So, you guys have convinced yourselves that your party is over no matter what so you might as well go out hard?  Holy sheet, Obama's terms must've done a number on ya'll.

Just so I follow, Obama beat McCain, beat Romney and then you guys just said, "F it, let's make everything a joke from here on out.  We'll start with Trump until we run the party into the ground."?  But Romney lost by, what, a couple of percentage points?  I mean, candidates have lost nearly every state in the past and their party didn't resign themselves to losing for the rest of time and start nominating joke candidates with no actual positions.  WTF   How are ya'll this impatient?

it completely broke them & the damage will takes decades to repair.

That is literally exactly what happened. Word for word. Once again, you've got your finger squarely on the pulse of the political right.

Oh good, you're conceding the point.

But why would anyone give up so easily?  I mean, seriously, you look at the numbers that say the country will be less than 50% white at some point and instead of tweaks here and there, speaking to issues that effect certain communities, you just resign to blowing it up?   Why?  Romney was a decent candidate.  A little boring, which is probably why he lost, but largely a normal guy.

Instead of finding a conservative who's more exciting you just throw the whole thing out and say "F it, we're going with the guy most likely to run our party into the ground."  And then when, sure enough, he's run the party into the ground you're blaming Ronna F'ing McDaniel and you're all on board with someone that'll keep driving the nail in the coffin.  It's unbelievable.  A gift to the Dems for sure but unbelievable.

Dude, Windmill is the least interesting nickname you've come up with.  I mean, I'm all for you coming up with something good, but this isn't it.  It's just a way for you to bow out when you've got nothing.  So, now that I know that you know that you've conceded the point, we can keep talking.

Surely you understand that the right's inability to diagnose their own problems are the exact reasons why the problems persist.  You see that, right?

Trump's burying the party and you guys are cheering for Vivek blaming...Ronna McDaniels.

You just come in hot with some of the most retarded drivel you can type and you want me to go line by line arguing with you when your main point was "GOP voters were so demoralized by Obama that they picked the worst candidate they could think of hurradurrr!" Like, yeah, let me engage with that point like a grown person.

Nah, I think I'll just post a windmill.

Dude, I'm just going off of what you've already said here.  In response to me saying Vivek was guaranteed to run the party into the ground, you said

Oh, yeah, demographically, the Dems have this sheet on lock in the future. There's probably only like one or two Presidential elections left before the GOP is done

So, you think the party has no shot going forward, which is why you're good with going with joke's like Trump/Vivek.

But the Trump/Vivek branch of the party are the entire reason the party's being run into the ground.  They're not the solution or even a loud distraction on the way down, they're the actual problem.  Republicans will absolutely continue to lose until they abandon populist joke candidates.

Bollywood Trump is clearly just putting on an act to try to get right wing simpletons to like him. Who would buy such a pathetic performance? I think we have our answer.

Yeah, I said the dems have it on lock in the future because of demographics. Then you came in hot with "well, what you meant when you said that republicans have no shot is that they're intentionally putting up terrible candidates because they can't win anyway." I mean, you understand that is a really stupid way of interpreting the post you quoted. That's why the windmill is so much easier.

Oh, wait a minute, I see the problem.  You don't think Trump and Vivek are terrible, joke candidates  Holy sheet.  I just assumed we were in agreement on that part.  You think they're serious people with real, thoughtful solutions.

Vivek is observably more intelligent than any legitimate contender on either side. But you are part of a brainwashed cult, so your vote is going to be for the "very serious" Joe Biden who offers "real, thoughtful solutions" and has only sheet himself publicly once(?) since taking office.

Vivek is a cartoon. He's putting on a performance and it's not surprising that you fell for it. It's even less surprising that zuker did

I honestly believe that if I had the money to do it, I could run for the gop nomination and get at least 10%.

The best part is, you really don't need to know anything or even really have a position or a plan.  If someone asks you a question, just attack the person asking you the question and spin it into some vast media conspiracy.  Republicans will love the answer and forget the fact that they don't actually know anything you want to do when you're elected.

"But but he doesn't share the same opinion as me on a subjective topic." This is why I post the windmill rather than interacting.

And, again, he's still noticeably more intelligent than any other presidential candidate on either side of the aisle, and it isn't particularly close.

The gop and debates have devolved into a high school level insult competition. Whoever throws the nastiest sheet pie at the competition wins because they’re "ending careers and cutting off heads” or whatever stupid ish kz said referring to Vivek’s character role play performance.

This is what matters to them now. It’s not going away when trump is gone, someone else will see the opportunity to fleece these morons and the right wing media will prop them up for the rage ratings. It’s a reality tv show.

Vivek is the one candidate outside of Trump that 100% ensures Reps will continue to get their asses handed to them in elections, so, yeah, go with that.  And the guy's really young, so he's got a lot of years left on the scene.  I think it's suicide but I'm good with Dem victories for the next 20 years.

I'm good with it, too. The only problem is that, as the right becomes more detached from reality and more politically marginalized (the GOP has done nothing to adjust and only turned harder to the right as it has become eminently clear since 2000 that they are not selling what the people want), the attempts at subversion and outright treason will only become more brazen and well-organized. Jan. 6 was merely window dressing for these neofascist troglodytes.

They must be forced on them, as they are in any republic that is well managed by men of integrity"

The GOP debates, or any political debate now, have always been a clown show and are devolving further in real time. They're actually insulting to the intelligence of the viewer.

Moderator: Here's an incredibly complex geopolitical problem that requires a very well thought out, nuanced answer. Oh btw, you have 30 seconds to answer while your opponents and we, the moderators, interrupt.

So you wind up with traditional candidates like Nikki Haley giving canned, poll-tested responses that don't really even mean or address anything.

And, yes, in the age of housefly attention spans and clown world "debates" that happen on Fox or NBC, it is a battle of who can get the best, punchiest 30 second sound byte. And, yasss, Vivek is slay queening at that.

  Subjective.

Yes, who has a greater effect on the state of the Republican Party?

Could it be the former president, the face of the party, the guy who kicks people out of the party if they don't bow to him, who got his ass handed to him in the last Presidential election, who's the runaway favorite in the primary, who tells the RNC to get F'd if they ask him to do anything and who endorses people, watches them get trounced and then turns around and publicly trashes them in election after election?

Or is it.....literally checks notes because I forgot her name...Ronna McDaniel?
