It will be glorious to see your candidate reinstate your student loans.

But what about all that money he's pouring into the economy??!

Ya that’s why we can’t let Trump win.

well its already horrible, and hes not going to re-instate my student loan debt. So we might need him so I can keep boosting the economy.

My wife finished paying off the rest of her student loans shortly after mine were forgiven. I had about 36k forgiven.

Since then we have been able to put in a new HVAC system for our house.

We took a home equity loan to build an oversized 2 car, 2 story garage.

Furnished the finished side of our basement (which was the goal of the new HVAC and Garage storage area to free up more living space in our house for the kids).

And 1 month ago finally paved our driveway (after living her for about 10 years).

Tons of money spent, big quality of life improvement, major equity built. None of it was possible with my hefty student loan payment that would have been around for probably another 20 years.

In addition to that, we were finally about to build a savings account and will continue to be able to draw from that for more future projects, vacations, etc.

There will be so many people in our situation where the loans are holding them back from taking some major next steps in life, or doing major projects, or whatever... The govt money wont be wasted. These people will pour all of that and more back in to the economy. The money we have spent is roughly double what we owed on my loans.

Im not saying everyone should get their loans forgiven. However, its a damn good investment considering the amount of money that can and will flood back in to our economy.

Who made that possible for you?

Obama and myself.

You had loans around $36k with 20 years remaining ... Monthly payment on that would have to be in the $200-250 range depending on loan rate.

How the hell do you argue that $250/mo translated somehow to all those home improvements?

Smelling some BS.

Well, not surprisingly your math is very wrong.

You haven't considered all of the factors like my beginning balance and how long they were already in repayment for.

Or that I paid off 2 of my other student loans, or that I mentioned that my wife finished paying hers off.

I had loans of about $30K when I graduated in 2001, my initial payment at that time were $380/month with like a 6-7% interest rate.  As a young adult living with mom and dad and a full time job, I barely made ends meet.  In 2008ish when the market crashed and the entire country needed help, the govt had a loan program that cut my interest to less than 3%.  My payments dropped to $140 a month and I finally moved out on my own.

so I can attest to the fact that loans can be crippling and hold back plenty of people whether you have $30K or $300K in debt.

Wondering if the people cancelling Netflix because of them backing Kamala are aware of this?

Also, shame on Netflix for putting couch Fer porn on their platform and FUNDINGIMG_3232.thumb.png.17de52d474780c0f4a15d7898e2645cc.png it!

I don’t understand some people on the right. They cry "cancel culture” when someone with a far right view get cancelled for an un popular opinion. But then do the exact same thing when a company that provides a product/service they like, cancel the company for doing something they don’t agree with (budweiser/Netflix).

I understand it perfectly. It's effective to a point, so long as they (either ideology)  aren't inconvenienced. Not much more than an entertaining news cycle.

If they really wanted to cancel something they'd cancel the government. No need to fight just don't participate or limit that participation. That involves a lot of inconvenience though.
