Yes, who has a greater effect on the state of the Republican Party?

Could it be the former president, the face of the party, the guy who kicks people out of the party if they don't bow to him, who got his ass handed to him in the last Presidential election, who's the runaway favorite in the primary, who tells the RNC to get F'd if they ask him to do anything and who endorses people, watches them get trounced and then turns around and publicly trashes them in election after election?

Or is it.....literally checks notes because I forgot her name...Ronna McDaniel?

I'm not sure why anyone pays attention to these debates since none of them have a snowball's chance in hell of being the nominee. Best I can tell, here's the outcome.

Ramaswamy -- the 15 minutes are up. He peaked at around 11% back in August and has been plummeting ever since. He's a con-man (pretty well known in finance circles for being a pump and dump investor) who is basically a poor man's Chamath. He's just looking to get a national profile and then use that to raise money and scam idiots for decades. It's the Trump playbook without any chance of winning.

Christie -- he basically serves no purpose without Trump showing up. His policy positions are fine, but if Ramaswamy peaked 12 weeks ago, Christie peaked 12 years ago. He should just drop out.

Scott -- speaking of dropping out, why is he even still in this race? Drop out and endorse Haley.

DeSantis -- he's Giuliani in 2008. Dean in 2004. Jeb in 2016. The early favorite who is completely crashing and burning. He should have waited for 2028.

Haley -- she'd get my vote at this point, and she's clearly the most intelligent person on stage and likely the best politician. And Trump is going to obliterate her.

Yes, according to basic definitions of words, that is a completely subjective topic. That you feel really super strongly about it does not make it any less subjective.

  Right, Kz.  It's just a subjective opinion.  It's not him living in fear of criticizing the massive, obvious problem with the Republican party.

Obviously the odds are still in his favor, but I'm not sure how much I'm even believing the primary polls at this point.  It's abundantly clear that polling methodology is completely shot across the board.  Polling just flat out doesn't work anymore.

So, sure, he probably has a healthy lead, but if everybody else drops out and everybody (except obviously Vivek) puts their support behind Haley?  Maybe she has a real shot against him.

I hope Dems can find another conservative candidate maybe a military vet to run. In W. VA 39% are registered Maga and 33% are registered Dems. The rest are Independents.

Retiring already? He's only 76. This is like that one LB from the Niners who retired after 2 years in the NFL.

Again, yes, if you understand basic definitions, you would agree that it's subjective. But...

Ramaswamy knows he has no chance, he's now in 'I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit.' mode. He was obviously Trump's surrogate up there.
