This is KILLING Trump.  His campaign gave up on women eons ago, his new path was with young black and latino men.  Now he is non stop conjuring the racism he displayed against Obama. Whatever point he is trying to make, the delivery is brutal. he's trying to perform a breaststroke in quicksand. To boot, he is weaponizing her Indian heritage when he needs Nikki haley and Vance's spouse out there campaigning for him.  It's batshite strategy.

If the race continues like this, the next 3 months are going to be completely insane. Trump is going to continue lashing out and making wild promises (e.g., no taxes on tips or social security) as his desperation and anger grow. In his infantile mind, he had this won 2 weeks ago (which was true), and now he's gotten screwed by his VP choice that was forced on him and the Dems switching to a younger candidate. The fact that he could lose to a female person of color (Indian or black, doesn't matter) is also completely wrecking him. Expect to see him continue to spiral downward while ratcheting up the extreme and violent rhetoric. It's going to get VERY ugly.

Always expected it to get ugly. Always can count on things getting worse with him. But on the bright side, it's better than him being in power and making things ugly. And hey, if he gets too extreme and too violent, let's not forget "presidential immunity."

I will never, ever doubt Trump's political dexterity. His instincts right now are killing him, but give him a month and I expect him to recalibrate.  But yeah, he has basically squandered a 16 pt 3rd qtr lead with back to back pick 6's and Kamala is in the red zone with her VEEP pick coming up to take the lead.

Trump's political dexterity has been non-existent since 2016. The simple fact is he has lost every single election since then (2018 midterms, 2020 election, 2022 midterms, 2023 special elections). His shtick is basically - "all attention is good attention." He was outrageous in 2016, and it worked because it was new and his opponent was terrible. But just simply being an attention hoor hasn't worked for him since 2016. He has no move other than ramping up the vitriol.

I fully expect him to mobilize supporters to try and block people from voting on election day.

he has also completely consolidated power of the GOP in that time, is thier undisputed candidate for 3rd time and just 2 weeks ago was a hunormous favorite to win the presidency. The knockdown has been hilarious, this is far from over.

He had some distant relatives and other mexican friends from Detroit who would make fun of him for being half-white, calling him coconut, and other ish. Yeah, my son is bi racial, black and white. We have had some long talks the last few years about this type of stuff and people definitely were more vocal to him during when Trump was in office.

Thankfully, it has died down and hope it stays that way.

He was beating Biden due to lack of enthusiasm on the Democratic side, as well as making some gains with young people and black and Latino men. And he basically squandered all of that in the last 2 weeks. His shtick works when his opponent is extremely weak (2016, 2024 Biden). He hasn't shown the ability to beat someone who isn't massively infirmed.
