November 28, 20232 yr Quote Dean Phillips @deanbphillips I am running for President as a Democrat in 2024. My campaign will be about four main things. First and foremost, it will be about the economy. We have to make life more affordable for the middle class, which is the issue that voters care about most. We need to bring down the cost of living and make life affordable again. As part of making life more affordable, we have to celebrate success. America should be the most prosperous country in the world, and we need to be both pro-business and pro-worker to get there. Second, it will be about safety. If people don’t feel safe in their communities, not much else matters. We have a drug crisis and a mental health crisis in this country; it’s taking a horrible toll on individual as well as their communities. We have to address it. Third, my campaign will be about the generational change the country wants and policies that invest in our future, our young people. And finally, it will be about listening to each other to get back to a less divisive political environment. There’s government reform that will help with this too—we need term limits, ok, caught my attention.

November 29, 20232 yr With a bulk of the primaries less than 4 months away, any push to coalesce behind a single candidate has to come now to build enough momentum heading into super Tuesday and I'm just not seeing it. DeSantis, Haley, and shorter, bronzer Trump are still all in and none of them seem ready to budge anytime soon. It's always been a pipe dream.

Of course there's gonna be some cheering. It's a football game in a state he carried by 12 pts. As for his momentum, the thing that's gonna stop him is the same thing that did in 2020: the American people. Yes, it'll be closer than it has any business of being, just as it was in 2020, because at least 40% the country is mentally ill and I highly doubt they've collectively turned off Fox News, got off the couch, and sought treatment in the last 4 years.

Akchewly, they HAVE turned off Fox, and now simply do their own research for ALL of their info. America is easily dumber and crazier than it was 4 yrs ago.

December 1, 20232 yr I don’t understand… why are a democrat and republican debating each other before the primaries are held? Is t it normally dem vs dem and rep vs rep at this point as the candidates make their bid for their party’s nomination?

December 1, 20232 yr Author According to four sources in the DeSantis camp — one who witnessed the moment in the room and three others who were standing backstage (where there was no press or live studio audience) — Newsom’s wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, came into the debate room on at least two occasions to raise some objections. She also made her way to the stage during the break after the candidates agreed to extend the debate and put an end to it. A fifth source on the ground, unaffiliated with either campaign, confirmed that Siebel Newsom ended the debate on her husband’s behalf, saying, "We’re done.”
December 2, 20232 yr The clouds prepare for battle In the dark and brooding silence Bruised and sullen storm clouds Have the light of day obscured Looming low and ominous In twilight premature Thunderheads are rumbling In a distant overture

December 3, 20232 yr "The Florida Democratic Executive Committee has announced that in the upcoming primary elections, the ballot will singularly feature the name of Joe Biden, effectively excluding any potential challengers within the party." "The primary, which typically serves as a platform for party members to choose their preferred candidate for the general election, will not accommodate write-in candidates either, a departure from traditional election practices. This means that voters disenchanted with Biden’s performance will be without a recourse to express their dissent in the primary voting process."
